We are recruiting for Financial Crime Manager to join our COO team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong experience in financial crime controls and is confident supporting compliance, oversight, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.

With global scope and a strong focus on supporting our private markets business, FCC Ops helps Aviva Investors navigate financial crime risk with confidence. From onboarding investors and counterparties to overseeing AML, KYC and sanctions controls with third parties, and driving operational improvements, every project is an opportunity to protect the business while enabling investment activity and growth.
A bit about the role:
As a Financial Crime Manager, you will play a key role in protecting Aviva Investors from financial crime. You will be responsible for owning and strengthening financial crime controls, ensuring our operational processes remain compliant with Anti-Money Laundering regulations across multiple jurisdictions, as well as Aviva’s Financial Crime Standards.
You will take ownership of key activities, applying a risk-based approach to deliver positive client outcomes while maintaining robust controls that protect the business. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, you will provide guidance, constructive challenge, and oversight to ensure consistently high standards of compliance and operational excellence. This is a fast-paced role requiring an agile mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while responding effectively to changing business needs and tight deadlines. A strong understanding of AML, KYC and due diligence requirements, particularly within the private markets asset management environment, will be essential.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven experience operating and enhancing financial crime controls within an asset management environment, with a strong understanding of AML, KYC, customer due diligence, and wider regulatory requirements, particularly within the private markets sector.
- Strong experience applying risk-based decision-making, with confidence in conducting and reviewing customer due diligence using financial crime systems, screening tools, and third-party data provider.
- Strong understanding of complex corporate structures and financial crime processes, with the ability to take ownership, provide effective challenge, and drive positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment that requires agility, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and supporting decision-making in a regulated environment
- A professional qualification in financial crime (e.g. International Compliance Association), or equivalent would be desirable but not essential
