Growth Marketing Generalist
AI in this role
Own and execute developer events, campaign logistics, and project management for a growing developer tools platform.
About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
About the role
WorkOS has a strong bottom-up, developer-focused GTM motion. Our growth team sits at the center of it, running the campaigns, events, and demand programs that put WorkOS in front of technical buyers. As those programs have grown, so has the volume of work that makes them happen, and we're looking for a Growth Marketing Generalist to own it.
This is a hands-on execution role. You'll work across campaign management, events, and content, taking programs from brief to live and getting the details right. One week that means running a developer event in San Francisco; the next, pulling together campaign assets. You'll get clear direction and real ownership.
This is a great fit if you like variety, move fast, and want to build range across every part of a growth function. You'll work directly with the Growth lead and partner closely with sales, design, and product. You don't need to have marketed to developers before, though it's a plus. What matters is that you come from a technical or B2B software environment where you understood what the product did and who was buying it.
Responsibilities
Events and Field Marketing: Support with logistics and execution of our developer events, conferences, and dinners, including venue and vendor coordination, invite and registration flows, on-site support, and follow-up.
Project Management: Own timelines for creative assets and copy for growth programs (e.g. newsletter sponsorships), keeping designers and campaigns on schedule so deliverables are ready and submitted on time.
Copy and Content: drafting variations of email copy, social posts, invites, and event materials, keeping it clear and on-brand for a technical audience
Reporting: Track performance across programs and report on what worked, surfacing what we should do more or less of.
Measurement & Tracking: A clean tracking foundation across UTMs and campaigns so we can confidently measure performance.
Cross-functional Partnership: Work with sales on event follow-up and pipeline handoff, and with design and product on assets and messaging.
Continuous Learning: Build real knowledge of WorkOS products, our developer audience, and the AI-native companies we sell to.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years in a marketing role at a B2B software or technology company, ideally one selling to a technical audience.
Executional Strength: A track record of reliably shipping marketing work end to end, on time and with the details correct.
Project Management: Run several programs at once, keep track of the moving pieces, and follow through without needing to be chased.
Writing Ability: Clear writer who can adapt to a brand voice and write for a smart, skeptical, technical reader.
Events Experience: Hands-on experience running or supporting events, from small dinners to conferences.
Tooling: Comfortable in a modern marketing stack, including marketing automation or email tooling, a CMS, and analytics.
Domain Understanding: Enough technical context to understand what a developer tool does and why someone would buy it.
Self-starter: Previous startup experience, particularly in high-growth PLG organizations.
AI-Native: Hands-on experience building with AI-native tools, using LLMs, agents, and automation in your own marketing workflows.
Bonus: Experience marketing developer tools, infrastructure, or API products.

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Event Planning, Project Management, Marketing, B2b, and OpenAI. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
