What is the opportunity?

You will be operating at Managing Director level reporting into the Finance Modernization Vice President

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the 10 Fenchurch Avenue, London office.

What will you do?

• Lead a team of financial instrument and product experts in defining globally consistent, asset-class and product-based data "containers" for transaction and reference data.
• Lead the analysis of business segment source systems across Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Personal Banking, Commercial Banking to identify and map data sources to the defined containers.
• Direct the data sourcing activities to populate the containers with accurate, complete, and timely financial product data from upstream source systems.
• Ensure end-to-end connectivity from source systems through to the Finance Data Platform (FDP), the Financial Products Subledger, and the General / Consolidations Ledger.
• Define and implement a robust data sourcing integration and controls framework across the data sourcing lifecycle.
• Establish data quality gates, reconciliation controls, and validation processes to ensure the integrity of sourced data with SOX-compliant controls embedded within data sourcing processes.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product data leads covering Loans, Derivatives, Deposits, Secured Finance, Securities, Investment Management, and Retail & Commercial products.
• Collaborate closely with the Global Business Solution Architect, Business Process & Controls, Application Configuration & Development, and Reporting & Analytics workstreams to ensure coherent end-to-end design and delivery.
• Provide effective challenge to delivery teams on robust data design and sourcing practices.
• Take ownership and accountability for delivery, working directly with senior business sponsors and stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Extensive experience working in a multi-functional Finance change environment within a G-SIB (Global Systemically Important Bank) or similar large-scale banking institution.
• Deep expertise in understanding end-to-end finance processes for a G-SIB, including but not limited to Product Control, Financial Accounting and Control, Regulatory Reporting, Performance Measurement, and FP&A.
• Deep expertise in end-to-end product data flows across a broad range of financial instruments.
• Experience of data platform and finance subledger implementations (e.g., SAP / Fioneer, FPSL).
• Strong background in data sourcing, data analysis, data architecture, and data governance within a G-SIB banking context.

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and use cases within banking and finance data management.
• Experience of finance data conversion, reconciliation, and master data alignment.
• Demonstrable program and project management expertise, working to agile delivery methods within a matrix organisation.
