Manufacturing - Senior First Line Support Engineer (Trouble Shooting) - Tainan

Job Summary

As a technical expert and leader, you will drive the resolution of complex product and manufacturing challenges, support critical customer escalations, and lead strategic improvement initiatives across key product lines. Working closely with global R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer teams, you will play a key role in enhancing product quality, operational performance, and customer satisfaction. Beyond technical excellence, this role is expected to develop organizational capability, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and has the potential to grow into broader technical and organizational leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex equipment, system, and product issues.

• Own critical customer escalations and provide timely, effective technical solutions to minimize operational impact and improve customer satisfaction.

• Drive structural problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across key product lines to enhance quality, reliability, and manufacturability.

• Act as the technical lead during major escalations and urgent issues, coordinating cross-functional and global teams to restore operations and implement sustainable solutions.

• Partner with R&D and manufacturing teams to drive product design improvements, new product introductions, and process optimization.

• Build organizational technical capability through mentoring, coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams and management, influencing strategic technical decisions and long-term roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• Extensive experience in high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, or a comparable technical environment.

• Strong capability in solving complex cross-system and cross-functional technical issues.

• Solid understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, quality improvement, and reliability engineering.

• Proven ability to lead product design initiatives, drive design improvements, or manage large-scale cross-functional projects from concept to implementation.

• Demonstrated leadership potential with experience influencing teams, driving organizational change, or leading engineers through complex technical challenges.

• Previous experience in team leadership, technical management, or succession leadership development is highly preferred.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and customers.
