Officer (Cash Pool)

Process and reconcile Cash Pool transactions as per established procedure to ensure that error-free and efficient Cash Networking take place between Main Branch (Centralized Vault) and other branches in a prescribed turn around time and within the approved cash limit per branch. This position is responsible to implement policies and procedures of the bank in this area and ensure compliance thereto.

• Implementation of OPM, APPM and local regulatory regulations and ensure that activities are carried out as per approved policies and procedures.

• Ensure timely and prompt processing of all cash in/out & cash transit transactions.

• Ensure efficient cash traffic between main branch and sub branches as well as sub branches with each other.

• Ensure adherence to approved cash limit in branches as well as proper approval in case of excesses.

• Make sure main branch vault is always holding a sufficient cash balance to fulfill the daily cash utilization.

• Handling all Cash Shipments from/to Branches in terms of dealing with Cash Transport company reps. as well as related system transactions.

• Maintain proper checking on Transportation Company designated messengers in terms of ID & signature matches.

• Maintain good communication level with other banks in case of need to send cash out shipments (in case of excess) or ask for cash in to fulfill branch extra needs.

• Maintain good communication level with CBE responsible officers for cash shipments and serial banknotes stocks.

• Handling main branch vault cash counting, sorting and bundling.

• Checking all cash in shipments in terms of counting & sorting before registering to main vault.

• Receive, count & sort cash shipments from local banks and Central Bank of Egypt.

• Prepare cash for shipment to local banks & Central Bank of Egypt.

• Prepare daily cash register.

• Prepare daily proof list and deliver it to Finance Dept. along with source documents.

• Maintain proper records of all transactions.

• Handling all daily transactions related to all ATM replenishments.

• Handling day-to-day communications with ATM vendor in terms of ATM logs, capture cards and shortages/overages.

• Monitoring the ATM network and ensure 24/7 service availability.

• Fulfilling ATM vendor needs in terms of Cash needed to feed the ATMs within agreed prior notice.

• Systematically maintain updated records of documents and correspondence to ensure efficient retrieval of the required documents.

• Ensure country limit adherence and proper approvals conducted in case of excesses.

• Preparing monthly reports summarizing ATM vendor performance and problems occurred if any.

• Escalate problems and issues to Cash Pool Senior Officer.

• Conduct proper approvals in case of cash Shortages/Overages.

• Identify bugs / flaws and propose improvements in operating system and procedure to enhance efficiency.

• Acquire thorough knowledge of process flow as well as operating system and propose training for self to perform assigned job efficiently & prepare for career advancement.

• File all documents regarding assigned job tasks.

• Excellent knowledge of Banknotes and counterfeit checking's.

• At least 2 years banking experience

• Hands-on knowledge of Applicant tracking systems and other HR systems/database tools.

• Conversant with basic banking terminologies
