Independent Software Vendors (ISV)
The ISV organization drives customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth with independent software vendors building on AWS. This team works at the intersection of partner ecosystem strategy, technical enablement, and go-to-market execution to help ISVs innovate, scale, and deliver differentiated solutions to their customers through AWS. The ISV business is one of the fastest-growing segments in NAMER, requiring an HR leader who can keep pace with rapid scaling, evolving talent needs, and a highly technical sales workforce.
Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP)
GDSP is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, offering customers commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments. GDSP comprises two closely linked teams: Private Pricing Programs & Experiences (3PX), which manages the end-to-end private pricing experience for internal and external customers, and Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE), a specialized global deal team that partners with the field on deal strategy, structuring, and negotiations for transformational, large, and complex opportunities. SCE includes specialist teams in Transformation Strategy & Solutions, Cloud Intelligence, Cloud Economics, and Go-to-Market.
Every initiative you lead has direct impact on the success of these sales, strategy, and partner teams, and on the customers they serve.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with business leaders to develop their talent strategy to support business growth while maintaining an engaging, respectful and fun work environment
• Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, performance management and skills assessment and development
• Coach business partners in career development, leadership and management practices
• Assist in the development and implementation of people plans and solutions in order to deliver results and sustain a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow
• Analyze business metrics and recommend systemic improvements
• Partner with the business to lead talent reviews, focused on succession planning, employee growth and development and organizational health priorities
• Provide compensation guidance to leaders for all compensation actions including the annual compensation review and promotions
• Use data and org health metrics to make decisions and keep leadership informed
• Partner with the central HR Partner organization to effectively enable managers, address various employee relations issues, and drive results for the organization
• Lead or contribute to various cross-team and/or cross-organizational PXT projects
• Support the development of leadership pipeline and capability building initiatives across sales, deal strategy, and partner teams
A day in the life
Your day blends strategic planning, coaching, and problem-solving across two dynamic organizations. You will engage with VP and Director-level leaders, analyze workforce trends, and design initiatives that transform how we support and develop our sales builders. You must be able to establish and execute long and short-term people strategies while taking a hands-on approach. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, capability, and the builder experience. Basic qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high tech environment experience
- Experience influencing senior leaders/stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Experience in employee relations, risk management, workforce management and compensation management
- Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
- Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
