About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a - Procurement Manager to join Jumeirah The Red Sea.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- To manage the business with the cost-effective procurement and delivery of all requirements of resort operation.
- Scrutinizing the quality of items.
- Ensure the purchase contracts meet company and local requirements.
- Responsible for the sourcing of new products to maintain a high quality
- Prepare comparison of products including sampling where appropriate
- Monitor and respond to supplier performance implementing appropriate corrective actions and advising of impending business risk.
- Attend daily morning briefing and all meetings related to purchasing system
- Identify and maximize opportunities for cost and price reductions
- Identify, propose, and implement revenue generating initiatives where appropriate
- Ensure verification of authorization of purchase requisition.
- Process and expedite Purchase Orders utilizing the companies' procurement system as per the company's policy and procedures
- Ensure all suppliers are in compliance with company policy and procedures
- Contribute to ideas and solutions for smooth resort operation
- To ensure good work relations with all suppliers
- To react to all problems and complaints rose and to offer solutions.
- Responsible for the selection and approval of the best suppliers.
- Negotiate with different suppliers in order to obtain the best deal.
- Supervise the work of Purchasing Supervisor to ensure he / she performs his / her responsibilities.
Arrange air and sea shipment for overseas suppliers.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- 3-5 years in hospitality industry
- Very good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar With Materials Control System.
- Computer Literacy and very good MS Office skills
