Meet the Team

Product Operations Central (Process and Business Intelligence) is a core component of the Product Operations team, providing a centralized hub of multi-disciplinary expertise that fortifies the strategic and operational framework for Business Units (BUs) across Cisco’s product portfolio. This team acts as a strategic partner, collaborating with cross-functional leaders to define Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategies, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across NPI, sustaining, and end-to-end supply chain processes.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future by proactively collaborating with peers, senior leaders, and functional SMEs. You will bridge the gap between complex PLM business processes and advanced data-driven insights. By implementing innovative analytical solutions, you will ensure our operational framework is both scalable and highly effective.

As part of this role, you will drive the strategic vision for Business Intelligence (BI) by leading the strategy and execution of initiatives that improve process improvement and foster data-driven decision-making across the product portfolio. You will lead and influence cross-functional collaboration by orchestrating efforts among Product Operations, Global Manufacturing Operations (GMO), Technology & Quality (T&Q), and Engineering teams, unifying these groups under shared data objectives. Your expertise in sophisticated analytics and data integrity will be critical as you define and automate quality frameworks to ensure high-fidelity data, performing deep-dive analyses into product health, development velocity, and operational KPIs.

Leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools such as BigQuery and Cloud Composer, you will enable scalable data processing and utilize Google Workspace for collaborative policy management and cross-functional project tracking. You will also play a key role in risk management and mitigation by navigating operational risks through collaborative engagement and developing data-backed mitigation strategies integrated into our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business processes.

Operational optimization is another core responsibility, where you will use design-thinking sessions within our business sensing framework to understand business unit challenges and ensure analytical solutions are perfectly aligned with business goals.

This role drives significant business impact by aligning the organization toward a unified, data-driven PLM strategy that accelerates velocity across New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining phases. It harnesses scalable intelligence through GCP infrastructure to transform large datasets into real-time operational insights, improves operational efficiency by automating data quality and BI solutions to reduce manual processes, and supports risk mitigation by equipping leadership with analytical tools to identify and address supply chain and product lifecycle risks proactively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in PLM, NPI/Sustaining, HW development, and end-to-end supply chain engineering.
  • 5 + years of program management experience leading cross functional teams in complex environments with layered dependencies.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud platform or similar for data visualization.

Preferred skills

  • Experience in Python or R for advanced statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance/Quality tools (e.g., Alation, Big Eye, Monte Carlo).
  • Ability to articulate complex data-driven strategies and gain consensus at the executive level.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications and automation to enhance supply chain/product development.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
