Wood is currently recruiting for a Proposals Development Senior Manager on a permanent contract to join our team to support the Asia- Pacific region.

The Proposals Development Senior Manager plays a highly visible role, partnering closely with senior Business Development leaders, Regional Operations leadership, Capture and Pursuit Leads, Commercial teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, competitive proposals across the assigned region.
This role is responsible for leading and developing the regional Proposals team, ensuring adherence to corporate proposal processes, standards, and governance requirements. The position oversees proposal resource planning and workforce allocation, coordinating support from other regions when required to meet bid demands and deadlines.

- Partner closely with Regional Business Development SVPs and business leaders to support regional growth through the development of high-quality, winning proposals
- Ensure an effective team structure is in place to meet the proposal and business development needs of the region
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Proposals Development Managers, empowering them to manage workloads, resources, and team performance effectively.
- Drive compliance with all Proposal Development processes, procedures, and governance requirements, including win planning, proposal development, and review processes
- Ensure Proposal Development team members complete required training and maintain competency in proposal management best practices
- Lead talent management activities, including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and compensation and promotion recommendations
- Manage Proposal Development resource allocation across the region, coordinating support from other regions, as required, to meet business demands and bid schedules
- Facilitate and lead win-planning sessions, colour team reviews, and management reviews for strategic pursuits and high-priority opportunities
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of proposal content libraries, including project profiles, experience records, resumes, case studies, and boilerplate content
- Foster collaboration across Business Development, Operations, Commercial, and other key stakeholders to improve proposal quality and increase win probability
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and excellence within the Proposals Development team
- Comply with the Wood Code of Business Conduct, Anti-Bribery and Corruption requirements, and all mandatory corporate policies, procedures, and governance standards

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Degrees in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline are preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience leading and managing the Proposal Development process within a complex, client-focused environment
- Demonstrated experience managing a functional area, large department, or geographically dispersed team
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Thorough understanding of Proposal Development methodologies, industry best practices, and winning proposal techniques
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to apply extensive management expertise to ensure team performance, operational excellence, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and enhance proposal development outcomes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with SharePoint and Adobe InDesign is highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead organizational change, implement new processes, and drive adoption of best practices
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to challenge conventional approaches and develop innovative solutions
- Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing proposal teams
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent pursuits, and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Capable of operating both strategically and hands-on, adapting to business needs as required
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organized with excellent planning, coordination, and execution capabilities
