As a Pursuits and Proposals Manager within our Markets team, you'll play a critical role in helping PwC secure and grow some of our most significant client engagements.

Partnering closely with Partners, Directors and subject matter experts across the firm, you'll lead the pursuit strategy and proposal development behind complex, high-value opportunities.

This is not a traditional business development or sales role. Rather than owning client relationships or negotiating commercial agreements, you'll sit at the centre of the pursuit process, bringing together the right people, insights and solutions to position PwC for success.

We're seeking an experienced pursuits professional with a background in professional services or consulting who can influence senior stakeholders, shape winning strategies, and drive high-quality pursuit outcomes.

You'll combine strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, commercial acumen and project leadership to develop compelling client propositions and ensure our teams present their strongest possible response to clients.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover opportunity based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington.

Your day-to-day could include: 

• Leading complex pursuits and proposals from qualification to submission.
• Shaping winning strategies, value propositions and client messaging.
• Influencing Partners and senior stakeholders on pursuit approach and positioning.
• Driving governance, stakeholder alignment and delivery across multiple opportunities.
• Developing compelling proposals, presentations and pitch materials.
• Ensuring quality, consistency and differentiation across all submissions.
• Championing pursuit best practice and continuous improvement.
• Leveraging technology, Salesforce and AI to enhance pursuit effectiveness.
• Collaborating with PwC's global pursuits network to adopt leading practices.

• 7+ years' experience leading complex pursuits, bids or proposals within a professional services, consulting, legal, engineering or similarly expertise-led environment.
• Experience within a Big Four, consulting, legal or professional services firm is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of how professional services organisations position and differentiate complex client solutions.
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and coach Partners, Directors and other senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop compelling value propositions and winning strategies.
• Outstanding writing, editing and presentation development capability.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple high-profile pursuits simultaneously.
• A collaborative, quality-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
