Senior Technical Product Owner, Energy

Location: LATAM (Brazil or Argentina) - Remote

Department Description
The mission of the Solutions Center of Excellence (CoE) is to build, deliver, and support demonstration environments for use by our Solution Engineers (SEs) globally. These environments incorporate the latest Salesforce capabilities, providing the baseline required to deliver best-practice demos. We enable our SEs to scale, innovate, and provide the best product demonstrations of their careers.

Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner to execute the technical strategy for our Energy sector. In this critical role, you will bridge business requirements and platform execution by managing the delivery of high-impact technical initiatives. You will be responsible for translating market requirements into prioritized backlogs, mapping demo assets to industry use cases, and ensuring that our demo environments are robust, secure, and built on the latest Salesforce architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap (Trusted Partner)
    • Align demo initiatives with product and industry roadmaps, flagging misalignments early and communicating shifts clearly to stakeholders.
    • Build strong, trust-based relationships across Product, Solutions, and Demo Tech, leveraging collaboration to resolve misalignment and maintain delivery.
    • Identify risks or conflicts early and escalate with clear context, ensuring issues are addressed quickly to protect outcomes.
  • Project/Program Management (Business Owner)
    • Prioritize backlog items to align with team goals, keep the backlog well-groomed and transparent, and define clear acceptance criteria.
    • Re-prioritize work in response to changing needs, maintain pace amid scope shifts, and use ceremonies to realign the team.
    • Suggest actionable process improvements, encourage experimentation with new practices, and track outcomes of changes.
  • Communication & Collaboration (Translator & Collaborator)
    • Translate technical details into business value for stakeholders, bridging gaps between developers, PMs, and SEs to ensure mutual understanding.
    • Conduct structured discussions to extract detailed requirements, distinguishing needs from nice-to-haves and converting them into backlog-ready items.
    • Facilitate discussions to resolve competing priorities, encouraging balanced input while maintaining focus on shared outcomes.
  • In-depth Industry & Product Knowledge (Team Seller)
    • Apply Salesforce capabilities to address industry-specific scenarios, explaining how features connect to customer processes and staying current with new releases.
    • Maintain industry demo environments reliably, troubleshooting common issues independently and sharing updates on readiness.
    • Map demo assets to industry and customer problems, identifying opportunities for reuse and documenting solution coverage clearly.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience, with a strong background in Product Ownership, Solution Engineering, or Product Management.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Energy industry, with the ability to understand market trends and align them with technical solutions.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Administrator (Required), Agentforce Specialist or Data Cloud certification (Required, can be obtained during ramping), Advanced Administrator,
  • Agile & Scrum Mastery: Experience managing backlogs and executing sprints as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment. CSM or PSM Certified.

Preferred Requirements

  • Technical Fluency: Comfort working in developer tools like GitHub, including reviewing Pull Requests (PRs), understanding version control workflows, and basic code literacy (e.g., LWC, Apex, or JSON) to collaborate closely with engineering teams.
  • Experience: Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives, or previous experience as a Solution Engineer (SE), Technical Business Analyst, or in a pre-sales environment.
  • Cloud Expertise: Specific experience with Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud.
  • Scrum Certification: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.

Posting Statement

Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. What does that mean exactly? It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination. Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal. Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. It also applies to recruiting, hiring, job assignment, compensation, promotion, benefits, training, assessment of job performance, discipline, termination, and everything in between. Skills and AI tools this role asks for

AI Agents

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
  2. This role expects you to use AI tools as part of the job. Which ones have you used, and for what?
  3. Tell me about a time an AI tool got something wrong. How did you catch it?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI Agents. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list — this role treats it as a required part of the job.
