Job Purpose
Responsible for leading complex, high-impact data science initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and experimentation to drive business outcomes. Shapes modeling strategies, delivers scalable solutions, influences decision-making through data-driven insights, and mentors team members to enhance data science capabilities and best practices.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional data science initiatives
- Define problem frameworks and modeling strategies for ambiguous challenges
- Design and guide experimentation approaches to drive decision-making
- Ensure scalability, robustness, and long-term value of solutions
- Work with Data Engineering teams to shape data models, define data requirements, and improve data reliability for advanced use cases
- Partner with ML Platform / Engineering teams to guide deployment strategies, ensure model performance in production, and support long-term lifecycle management
Key Result Responsibilities-Continued
- Mentor and guide data scientists, improving team capability
- Influence product, business, and strategic decisions through data insights
- Establish best practices in modeling, experimentation, and reproducibility
- Drive alignment across Data Science, Data Engineering, and ML Platform teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Deep expertise in machine learning, statistics, and applied modeling
- Strong experience designing scalable and impactful solutions
- Advanced experimentation and analytical capabilities
- Strong problem-solving in ambiguous environments
- Strong understanding of production ML systems and trade-offs
- Ability to design solutions with deployment and lifecycle in mind
- Effective collaboration with engineering and platform teams
- Ability to influence architectural decisions related to data, modeling, and deployment in collaboration with specialized teams
Work Experience
- With 6-8 years of experience in data science, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions
