The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Financial Specialist in Consumer Business Group, you will play a key role in transforming financial information into strategic insights that drive decision-making, profitable growth, and business performance management for the LA CBG. In this role, you will:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes for assigned businesses at country or division level.
• Analyze business financial performance, identifying variances, risks, opportunities, and actions that support the achievement of business objectives.
• Implement reports, financial models, and tracking tools that provide clear, timely, and actionable information to business teams.
• Define financial recommendations to support commercial decisions, growth initiatives, productivity, profitability, and resource optimization.
• Support business leaders as a strategic finance partner, providing analysis on sales, margins, expenses, pricing, investments, and key performance indicators.
• Contribute to decision-making by providing an integrated financial perspective that connects business results with the company’s strategic priorities.
• Drive financial performance discussions with cross-functional teams, promoting financial discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commercial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in financial planning, financial analysis, business controlling, commercial finance, or similar business support roles.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with financial management, planning, or data visualization systems will be valued.
• Strong analytical skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to influence others, collaborate with different areas, and work effectively in dynamic environments.
• Availability to work with a regional team, providing financial support to businesses at country or division level.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in the consumer goods industry.

Work location:

• This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M plant in Sumaré.
