Job Description Summary:

This role is to cover a maternity leave of 12 months duration with the possibility of extension.

The Senior Manager, Global Data Operations is responsible for the integrity, quality and evolution of the enterprise sales tracking data domain — the single source of truth for bottler volume and revenue across the globe.

This global leadership role is responsible for advancing our data platform toward a proactive, insight-led, and observable operating model powered by data quality and operational excellence. This role provides end-to-end ownership of operational stewardship, data quality governance, and continuous improvement across master data, data ingestion, and business processes, while aligning business stakeholders, bottlers, technical teams, and delivery partners to ensure trusted, timely, and accurate revenue and volume reporting.

The successful candidate will govern the data, help drive use cases for automation and scale the platform through driving governance discipline alongside intelligent automation so that our platform remains a trusted, cost-efficient backbone for enterprise reporting, planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Global Data Stewardship & Governance

  • Serve as the Global Data Operations Steward and subject-matter expert for the enterprise sales tracking platform.
  • Ensure governance policies, stewardship standards and operational controls are applied consistently across our data operations.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Governance, Finance, Commercial and Product teams to align business objectives with data standards.
  • Drive stewardship accountability for master data, hierarchy management, reference data and related business rules, and escalate risks to data integrity or platform performance.

NSR Data Operations & Data Quality Management

  • Own the end-to-end stewardship process for volume and revenue data ingestion.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency and timeliness across data collection, validation, transformation and loading.
  • Lead month-end close readiness and support timely completion of fiscal reporting requirements.
  • Develop and monitor data quality controls, KPIs, SLAs and stewardship metrics; investigate and resolve issues while implementing preventive controls.
  • Lead the resolution of data and operational issues through immediate remediation, root cause analysis, and the implementation of sustainable process improvements and preventive controls to reduce recurrence.

Global Delivery & Vendor Leadership

  • Lead the global managed-delivery model, owning performance frameworks, individual-level tracking and a clear separation of BAU / Incidents / Projects / DQF.
  • Review and approve operational procedures, work instructions and service-delivery standards; monitor performance against service levels and quality targets.
  • Coordinate escalations, issue resolution and service enhancements, and maintain continuity, backup and operational-resiliency measures.

Master Data & Hierarchy Management

  • Partner with the ISSCOM Operations team to create and maintain enterprise reference data and Bottler Product Package (BPP) codes.
  • Collaborate with bottling partners and internal stakeholders to standardize hierarchy mappings across markets.
  • Ensure master data structures support enterprise reporting, analytics and operational requirements, and govern new master data requirements as business needs evolve.

Platform Evolution & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive modernization initiatives that improve platform scalability, performance, automation and user experience.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture and analytics teams to deliver improvements that enhance platform capability.
  • Establish best practices, standards and documentation; support testing, deployment and adoption of enhancements and new functionality.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership

  • Build trusted relationships with Finance, Strategy, Commercial, Data Governance, IT and Bottling Partners across Africa & EME
  • Translate complex data issues and business impacts for both technical and non-technical audiences, and serve as the escalation point for data-related decisions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment to resolve operational challenges and advance strategic priorities, and drive adoption of stewardship practices and NSR standards.

Enablement, Reporting & Performance

  • Establish knowledge repositories, SOPs and training/onboarding materials for internal users and bottling partners; promote knowledge sharing across the global NSR community.
  • Monitor operational performance through data quality metrics, SLAs and business KPIs, and build reporting/dashboards that give transparency into platform and stewardship effectiveness.
  • Analyze trends, identify root causes and implement corrective actions; support leadership reporting with recommendations for strategic improvement.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Certifications in Data Management, Data Governance, Agile, Project Management, AI/Analytics or Business Analytics are preferred.

 Related Work Experience

  • 7+ years in Data Management, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Analytics Operations, Finance Systems or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and operational data management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex master data and business-critical reporting environments.
  • Experience leading managed-service partners and outsourced operational delivery models.

Experience leading and influencing global, cross-functional teams within complex matrix organizations, driving outcomes across business, technology, and digital transformation initiatives.
