About the team

SumUp's Procure to Pay team keeps the company's financial engine running, making sure every vendor is paid accurately and on time across multiple legal entities. This role sits at the centre of that work, taking ownership of a high volume of invoices, accruals and vendor relationships while the team rolls out a new system (ZIP) and expands automation across Europe. It's a chance to build deep expertise in a process that directly protects SumUp's financial accuracy and to help shape how that process works as it evolves.

What you'll do

  • Process and post vendor invoices and credit notes across several legal entities, keeping accuracy and deadlines on track
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals and support month-end close activities
  • Reconcile vendor balances, resolve discrepancies and manage day-to-day vendor communication
  • Prepare weekly payment proposals and complete weekly bank postings
  • Support the rollout of a new procurement system (ZIP), including testing and helping stabilise new workflows
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute ideas for automation and standardisation within the team

You'll be great for this role if…

  • Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, including debit and credit reconciliation, accruals and deferrals
  • Experience processing prepayments and payments in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system used for procure to pay processes
  • Comfort working with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and data tables
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You’re curious about AI and automation, and use - or are keen to use - AI tools responsibly to streamline repetitive tasks, improve accuracy, and make P2P processes more efficient.
