Senior QA Engineer
AI in this role
Build quality foundations and automated test suites for Kubernetes systems powering next-generation AI compute infrastructure.
Senior: PLN 260,400 - 352,200
Subject to alignment to the responsibilities and duties of the role
About the job
Build quality foundations for Kubernetes systems that power next-generation AI compute.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will validate the workload management stack for new AI accelerator hardware. You will help ensure that Kubernetes integrations are reliable, scalable and ready for production use.
Your work will support how accelerators are scheduled, orchestrated and used across distributed environments. You will test systems that make complex AI compute infrastructure dependable for real users.
You will design and develop automated test suites, build system and integration tests, and contribute to improving CI/CD quality practices. You will also investigate and debug issues across Kubernetes, infrastructure and application layers.
This role is for someone who enjoys hands-on technical testing, automation and working close to complex distributed systems. This is a hybrid position, with at least three days each week in our Gdańsk office.
The team and culture
You will join the Workload Management team, working closely with software engineers, infrastructure specialists and other QA engineers. The work is practical, systems-focused and based on strong technical ownership.
Quality is built early here, not checked only at the end. You will contribute to test strategy, validation planning and automation practices throughout the development lifecycle.
The team works through open technical discussion and evidence-based decisions. You will be encouraged to speak up on quality risks, improve test coverage and help turn complex systems into reliable products.
As a senior member of the QA team, you will also support less experienced engineers through technical guidance, code reviews and sharing good testing practices.
What we’re looking for
- Strong Python programming experience, with a focus on automation and test engineering
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework or similar automation frameworks
- Experience testing cloud-native, containerised or distributed systems
- Strong Linux and Kubernetes understanding, with confidence debugging across multiple system layers
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Ability to improve test coverage, raise quality standards and support other QA engineers
While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences. We also welcome engineers returning to the profession after a career break, including through returnship routes.

How we rate this
Senior QA Engineer at Graphcore rates 60 out of 100 for how much of the daily work is AI. That makes it Works on AI (AI Level 3 of 4). The level is about AI in the job, not seniority.
Works on AI. The daily work is on AI products, without building the model.
- ●●●● Builds AI80 to 100

Questions you could be asked
- Tell me about a research question you investigated. What did you find?
- Tell me about a project where qa engineering was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where test automation was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where cloud native was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where distributed systems was part of your work. What did you do?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI Research, Qa Engineering, Test Automation, Cloud Native, and Distributed Systems. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project — this role expects it to be a running habit.
