AI in this role
Lead a team of global account sales engineers driving enterprise data and cloud platform adoption with light AI positioning.
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Senior Solution Engineering Manager - UKI Global Accounts
Our organization is seeking a Senior Solution Engineering Manager to lead a highly skilled and diverse team of Global Account Sales Engineers within the UKI Global Accounts function. This is a multi-vertical position spanning Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Healthcare & Life Sciences. While this is a front-line leadership role, the strategic importance of the businesses supported means the position will report directly to [reporting line].
The role extends beyond tactical account support to help shape the go-to-market and technical strategy for the entire UKI Global Accounts organization — building a foundation that will define our major account motion for years to come. You will serve as an executive peer to customer leadership, drive operational excellence across enterprise pursuits, and direct specialized technical resources across organizational boundaries.
In this role, you will:
Build and coach your team on team operations, account strategy, performance management, and career development — instilling a disciplined operating rhythm anchored in MEDDPICC methodology to ensure deal qualification, pipeline governance, and repeatable execution.
Orchestrate specialized technical talent — including domain experts, solution architects, and post-sales teams — to align the proper capabilities at key lifecycle moments with clear accountability.
Cultivate trusted relationships with C-level executives (CIO, CDO, CTO) across major accounts, driving strategic alignment between Snowflake's platform vision and customer business transformations.
Partner with Sales and HR leadership to define the ideal SE team structure, coverage model, and capacity plan across rapidly expanding global accounts.
Instill a culture of technical rigor, customer obsession, and collaboration across the UK and EMEA, ensuring SEs uphold Snowflake's high standards for technical excellence and solution design while remaining closely aligned to customer outcomes and value.
Partner with Industry Sales Leaders, Product Management, Engineering, FCTO and Industry/Field Marketing to define the technical vision and solution roadmap for all accounts within your remit — including identifying repeatable technical patterns, customer use cases, and strategic industry partnerships.
Work closely with our partner community to implement scale and velocity initiatives that amplify our technical go-to-market motion especially within our key GSI and CSP engagements.
Participate in executive-level customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and technical steering committees to ensure the Snowflake platform remains aligned with customers' multi-year strategies.
Partner with your senior sales leadership counterpart to jointly own the business — achieving quota targets, forecasting growth, and taking full accountability for building the organization.
On day one, we will expect you to have:
8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity, navigating complex enterprise sales cycles.
3+ years of direct people-management experience, including hiring, developing, and retaining top talent across distributed organizations.
Proven capability establishing strategic influence at the Board, CIO, CDO, and CTO levels within major enterprise environments.
Practical mastery of MEDDPICC principles, applying them as a core operational discipline to drive predictable performance.
Demonstrated expertise organizing cross-functional specialists and partner resources across multi-faceted sales engagements.
A demonstrated ability to build and drive industry-verticalized go-to-market efforts within a relevant industry.
A strong understanding of, and experience with, data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
Extensive experience supporting a diverse range of account verticals, spanning both acquisition and expansion motions.
Exceptional customer-facing communication skills — written and verbal — enabling you to establish credibility and build a network of senior technical and business stakeholders.
A composed, positive outlook that anchors the team through the volatility of global sales and the fast-paced change synonymous with Snowflake's growth trajectory.
