Job Description Summary:

This role is a hands-on engineering manager responsible for the day-to-day delivery, quality, and reliability of a MarTech, Customer & Commercial platform or major component within a larger product line such as CDS or GAM. Reporting to the Director, MarTech, Customer & Commercial Product Development, this leader runs a focused engineering team, stays close to the code, and brings AI-native practices into how the team builds, tests, secures, and operates the platform. The role pairs strong execution with people leadership, turning the product roadmap into shipped, dependable software that delivers business value.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  •  Write, test, and maintain production code for consumer experiences, platform services, and integrations.
  • Work within an agile product team, taking stories from refinement through development, code review, testing, and deployment.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate your work, while reviewing, understanding, and taking full accountability for the code you submit.
  • Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, as one of the primary ways you will learn our standards and grow as an engineer.
  • Learn and apply our engineering standards, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, security practices, secure coding, and observability.
  • Contribute to documentation so that what you build can be understood, operated, and extended by others.
  • Ask questions, raise problems early, and speak up when something does not make sense.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and senior engineers to understand the business outcome behind the work, not just the technical requirement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, bootcamp training, and demonstrated practical experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of professional software engineering experience. Internships, co-op placements, open source contributions, and substantial personal projects all count.
  • Working proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as JavaScript or TypeScript, Java, or Python, with a solid grasp of fundamentals including data structures, control flow, and object-oriented or functional design.
  • Familiarity with version control, ideally Git, and an understanding of branching, pull requests, and code review as a normal part of development.
  • Foundational understanding of web technologies and APIs, including HTTP, REST, and JSON.
  • Exposure to at least one cloud platform, such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure, whether through coursework, certification, or hands-on projects.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development tools, paired with the judgment to verify what they produce. We are looking for engineers who use these tools well, not engineers who depend on them without understanding.
  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in how things work, including a willingness to read code you did not write and figure out what it does.
  • Clear communication, both written and verbal, and the ability to explain what you are working on and where you are stuck.
  • Preferred but not required: exposure to relational or NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, containers, automated testing frameworks, or front-end frameworks such as React.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: RAG, Software Engineering, AI Assisted Development, Agile, and Ci Cd. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list. This role treats it as a required part of the job.
