Join our Backend Team to design and deliver the AI-driven backbone of Cisco IQ.

You will work across multiple stacks and domains to build data-intensive integrations and scalable features that power the next generation of Cisco's global platform.

The Engineering team within AAA builds cloud-native and AI-driven capabilities that help customers and partners realize value faster through a unified Cisco experience.

Your Impact

In this role, you will design and build scalable backend systems, AI-enabled services, and data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights. You will help productionize AI solutions, optimize performance, and ensure high standards of reliability, data quality, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners and engineers to align solution designs with business goals and architecture principles.

• Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.

• Build and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled application engines.

• Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for ingestion, transformation, validation, and enrichment of diverse datasets.

• Develop and operationalize AI/ML and LLM-based capabilities, including agentic workflows and prompt-driven automation.

• Design and deploy LangGraph-based workflows for reliable orchestration, tool routing, and stateful execution in production.

• Build and maintain multi-agent architectures with clear role boundaries, handoff protocols, and guardrails.

• Establish software and system design standards, quality gates, and engineering best practices.

• Deliver end-to-end solutions with strong observability, performance, and security.

• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and stakeholder presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend development.

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with RAG, LLM applications and Agentic AI, preferably LangGraph.

• Strong knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience.

• Experience with enterprise CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and distributed systems.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.
