Solutions Consultant, Corporates
AI in this role
Job Description
Tax and finance teams in Asia are changing how they handle compliance as e-invoicing mandates spread, Pillar Two moves from analysis to reporting, and pressure grows to use automation and AI. In this role, the Solutions Consultant serves as the technical expert who helps multinational customers through this shift using Thomson Reuters' tax and compliance tools, such as ONESOURCE, Pagero e-invoicing and related solutions. Working with regional sales teams from first contact to closing the deal, the consultant acts as a trusted advisor to customers' Tax, Finance and Finance Technology teams on modernizing compliance, rather than someone who only demonstrates products.
Key Responsibilities
In this opportunity as a Solutions Consultant (Corporates), you will be responsible for
Customer engagement and discovery
- Partner with Tax and Finance stakeholders to understand their compliance and transformation priorities, and align Thomson Reuters solutions to their business initiatives
- Run structured discovery to map the current-state tax and finance technology landscape, data flows, and compliance gaps
- Build business cases that connect product capability to outcomes such as compliance risk reduction, process efficiency, and audit readiness
- Support and present at customer events, roundtables, and internal forums on regulatory change (e-invoicing, indirect tax reform, global minimum tax)
Solution design
- Develop solution approaches covering ERP and systems integration, workflow modernization, compliance automation, and AI-enabled processes, with guidance from senior solution consultants and product teams on complex designs
- Position solutions against competitors with a clear view of where Thomson Reuters differentiates
- Translate regulatory and technical requirements into clear proposals that buyers and their stakeholders can act on
Pre-sales delivery
- Deliver product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical workshops tailored to customer scenarios
- Lead the solution response in RFPs and RFIs, working with bid management and sales
- Tell a clear value story that connects the customer's problem, our solution, and the expected result
Commercial contribution
- Work with sales to progress opportunities, develop new pipeline, and contribute to recurring and outright revenue targets
- Contribute to account plans by identifying cross-sell and expansion opportunities
- Support renewals and retention as a trusted customer advocate
- Maintain accurate opportunity and customer data in Salesforce to support forecasting
- Collaborate with product, marketing, implementation, and sales teams to bring customer feedback and market insight back into the business
Required Qualifications
You are an ideal fit for the Solutions Consultant (Corporates) role if your experience includes
- 5 to 7 years of experience in solution consulting, pre-sales, or tax technology consulting, ideally in tax, e-invoicing, or finance transformation
- Consultative selling and stakeholder management skills: you diagnose before you prescribe, and you work effectively across Tax, Finance, IT, and procurement teams
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical capability into a clear value story and business case for tax and finance stakeholders
- Enterprise SaaS experience, including cloud implementation, integration, and solution scoping
- Working knowledge of ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and how tax engines and e-invoicing platforms integrate with them
- Experience with e-invoicing and regulatory reporting, with an understanding of mandates across Asia (e.g., Singapore InvoiceNow, Malaysia MyInvois)
- Strong understanding of finance, tax, and accounting workflows
- AI and digital transformation literacy, with the ability to discuss realistic automation use cases in tax and finance
- Collaborative approach with sales, product, marketing, and delivery teams
- A commercial mindset: comfortable owning the technical win and contributing to deal strategy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multinational enterprises across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience in enterprise software and SaaS sales support
- Experience in complex procurement, RFP/RFI, and bid management environments
- Exposure to indirect tax determination, VAT/GST compliance, or Pillar Two/global minimum tax
