The SAS program is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketplace Consultant who will be responsible for working with a group of Selling Partners to help them grow their business on Amazon, offering support on launching on new programs, exploring Amazon’s marketing tools, advising on account strategy and selection listing. The Marketplace Consultant will be expected to develop and convert a sales pipeline using a highly consultative and data driven approach, as well as onboard and build long-term relationships with the key decision-makers within the prospective accounts. Given the early stage of the program, you will also be responsible for developing processes, tools and content for this service. This is an opportunity for you to play a vital role in shaping a key growth program for Amazon Australia, developing our portfolio of solutions alongside cross functional teams and colleagues in other countries.
The ideal candidate will be excellent at influencing external stakeholders, consulting and account management skills, possess a track record of taking initiatives and using data and tools to drive business growth, implementing process improvements and scaling up programs, and be comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around SAS program and service offerings, highlighting unique benefits for sellers and aligning with strategic business goals.
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospective Selling Partners by leveraging deep market insights, ensuring alignment with their specific needs and Amazon’s strategic priorities.
- Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners through tailored strategies, clear timelines, and proactive communication—utilizing expertise in Amazon programs, tools, and processes to drive success.
- Produce actionable business recommendations by analyzing customer data with advanced analytical tools, unlocking growth opportunities and maximizing seller potential.
- Implement and track success metrics for sellers in your portfolio, using data-driven insights to guide decisions and surface untapped opportunities.
- Prepare and present performance deep-dive sessions to facilitate strategic discussions on progress, challenges, and future plans with Selling Partners.
- Develop expertise in the competitive landscape, including knowledge of complementary and competing product offerings, to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional projects, such as competitive analysis, content development, and process/tool innovation, to enhance value for internal and external stakeholders.

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications
- 5+ years of inside sales experience
- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
