We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Exterior Commodity team at Lucid’s Casa Grande manufacturing facility. This early-career role is designed for a quality professional who wants to build hands-on expertise in supplier quality, manufacturing operations, structured problem solving, and supplier development. You will help contain supplier-related issues that affect production, coordinate cross-functional investigations, and drive corrective actions through effective closure. You will also support APQP and PPAP activities, supplier engineering changes, audits, and performance tracking. Success in this role means reducing recurring defects, quality spills, plant scrap, and supplier-driven disruptions while strengthening supplier accountability and production stability.
What You Own
· Production Containment: Lead and support timely containment of supplier quality issues affecting production, coordinating supplier responses to nonconforming material and operational disruptions.
· Corrective Action: Manage supplier quality concerns through closure using structured problem-solving methods, including root cause analysis, corrective action review, and effectiveness validation.
· Quality Planning: Support APQP execution by reviewing PFMEAs, control plans, process flows, and PPAP documentation for completeness and manufacturing readiness.
· Cross-Functional Resolution: Partner with Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and Materials teams to align priorities, communicate risk, and restore stable production.
· Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier quality metrics, analyze defect trends, and identify actions that reduce recurrence, scrap, quality spills, and supplier-driven disruptions.
· Process Assurance: Participate in supplier audits and process assessments, document findings, and support follow-through on improvement actions.
· Change Execution: Support supplier engineering changes by assessing quality impacts, tracking required documentation, and helping ensure controlled implementation.

· Experience applying structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why analysis, fishbone or Ishikawa analysis, and corrective action processes.
· Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with plastic injection molding processes.
· Automotive industry experience or experience working directly with suppliers.
· Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.
