System Test Engineer / IVVQ Engineer (m/f/d) Radar In Ditzingen #LI-HYBRID

In Ditzingen, you will encounter security solutions for monitoring and safeguarding borders and for border controls, protection of civil and military facilities and tactical communication. Your mission as System Test Engineer / IVVQ Engineer (m/f/d) Radar

 

You will be in charge of integration, test, verification and qualification activities of radar systems with focus on RF testing. You work in close cooperation with external and internal partners and customers to provide ambitious solutions addressing the demanding needs in a changing world.

  • Act as a counterpart for the technical and project manager regarding IVVQ activities
  • Define test strategies and create test plans for existing as well as new products in development
  • Define, implement and maintain tests verifying the RF related features and performance of radar systems
  • Definition and set-up RF test benches for automatic tests in the engineering department
  • Document test results according to the Thales guidelines and presentation of test results to customers and/or governmental quality bodies
  • Asses and improve continuously the test coverage of our systems with focus on digital integration
  • Proposes work package estimates and descriptions ensuring that compliant solutions at optimum cost are identified

 

We are looking forward to:


  • Completed technical master studies, e.g. in computer science, electronical engineering or comparable professional experience
  • Professional experience in System Testing
  • Professional experience setting-up automatic tests with state-of-the-art measurement devices
  • Professional experience using tools for data analysis (Python)
  • Work experience in defense or airspace industry, ideally radar is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge in RF testing and measurement devices
  • Good understanding of complex systems and ability to abstract
  • Knowledge of RF standards such as ITU or Radio Equipment Directive is an advantage
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools is an advantage
  • Strong ability to work in a team with colleagues from other disciplines both in a national and international environment
  • High customer focus
  • Structured approach and way of working
  • You are recognized for your pragmatism, commitment and rigor
  • Very good German and English skills
