System Validation Engineering Intern
AI in this role
About the job
Spend your summer validating the AI hardware systems that will shape the next generation of compute.
As a System Validation Engineering Intern in Austin, you will help validate server blades and racks for advanced AI infrastructure. This 12-week, full-time summer internship is planned for May to August.
You will work on post-silicon validation across system hardware, firmware and platform components. Your work will help engineers understand system readiness, quality, performance and product risk.
You will support test planning, automation, execution and debug for AI compute blades and racks. You will also help provision system components, triage failures and track validation coverage.
This internship gives you hands-on exposure to large-scale server validation, with guidance from engineers solving real infrastructure challenges.
The team and culture
You will join the Blade and Rack Validation team, which helps ensure system readiness and quality at scale. The team works closely with firmware, silicon, systems and platform engineers.
Work happens through clear validation goals, lab-based testing, automated test execution, debug sessions and technical review. Decisions are driven by evidence, reproducible failures, coverage data and open discussion of risk.
You will own defined tasks with support from engineers who expect curiosity and careful thinking. As an intern, you will be encouraged to ask questions, learn quickly and contribute to practical improvements.
