Meet the Team

Within Cisco's Product Operations, we transform engineering innovation into products that power the internet — from enterprise networks to the world's most demanding hyper-scaler AI infrastructure. Our Manufacturing Test Development team sits at the critical intersection of design engineering and global manufacturing, ensuring that Cisco's most complex systems are launched with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and scale. We are a cross-functional, globally connected team collaborating closely with Hardware, Software, and Supply Chain partners across multiple time zones to bring next-generation products to life. Our work directly impacts the reliability and performance of Cisco's high-end router portfolio, including our latest AI-optimized hyper-scaler platforms. If you thrive on solving hard problems at the edge of what's technically possible, this is the team for you.

Your Impact

  • As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end test strategy from Design for Testability (DFT) assessments through mass production readiness.

  • Drive the development and deployment of board and system-level automated functional test processes at contract manufacturing sites globally, ensuring maximum test coverage and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Develop robust Python-based test automation scripts and leverage data analytics to continuously improve test capacity, yield, and overall product quality.

  • Serve as the expert resource for product failure analysis and fault isolation, guiding debug processes at both component and system level to accelerate resolution.

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams across Hardware, Software, and Supply Chain to coordinate proto-build support and ensure seamless production ramp.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or Computer Science Engineering.
  • 8+ years of advanced experience in product test and validation within a multinational corporate environment.
  • Expert-level understanding of hardware development processes from concept through end-of-life, including manufacturing test solutions such as ICT and Boundary Scan (BSCAN).
  • Deep proficiency in Ethernet technologies (10/100/400/800G) and hardware protocols including I2C, SPI, PCIe, and SerDes.
  • Advanced Python scripting skills with demonstrated experience developing automated test frameworks and analytics-driven improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve technical conflicts, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience specifying, developing, and procuring test fixtures and traffic test solutions including Spirent or IXIA for high-speed interface validation.
  • Proven track record to lead Design for Testability (DFT) assessments and define risk mitigation plans in partnership with hardware and software engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting proto-builds and driving mass production readiness across globally distributed contract manufacturing sites.
  • Dedicated and adaptable, with a track record of effective collaboration across global time zones.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Test Engineering, Hardware Testing, Test Automation, Technical Leadership, and Python. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
