The EPR Program Manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of Operators (operation leaders) and Associates. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Legal, Taxation, Global Trade Services, Sustainability, Procurement, Amazon Business Units, and Finance and to deploy EPR solutions at scale. This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of all business units within the organization.

The role will report into the Senior WHS Manager-Environment, and work collaboratively with other partners across all Amazon BUs and regional geographies to provide EPR related scalable solutions across our business. This role is based in the Bengaluru corporate office.

The ideal candidate has an obsession for customers and a strong interest in building scalable solutions and mechanisms; must have proven analytical capabilities (including ability to deep dive, identify root causes and reporting); and can thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate must have excellent judgment, compassion, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in many areas across the company.

Key job responsibilities
1. Report in extended producer responsibility (EPR) portal of Central Pollution Control Board(CPCB) related to Plastic, E-Waste and Battery Management or any other upcoming EPR regulations.
2. Manage registrations basis inputs from stakeholders related to EPR regulations.
3. EPR compliance quarterly and annual returns submissions.
4. Conduct Stakeholder Awareness Session and webinars to Amazon Business Team.
5. Channelisation of EPR credits with recyclers with accurate documentation verification.
6. Engage in frequent written and verbal communication with management and business partners to accomplish goals.
7. Owns weekly/monthly reports and metrics.
Identifies gaps in EPR programs and processes and escalates to manager.
- Follows confidentiality rules with the documents reviewed.
- Drafts documents and revisions on audit reports per manager direction.
- Performs deep dive analysis/research on data/information/literature and creates recommendations/corrective actions based on identified deviations and recommends appropriate solutions.
8. Makes recommendations to managers for input into roadmap strategic discussions and continuous improvement projects to drive program efficiencies.
9. Develop, review, approve, coordinate, and lead large, strategic projects / programs within Amazon Business Units (BUs) and across different geographies related to EPR.
10. Build relationships and partner across many organisation to build and execute on new initiatives and roadmaps each year.
11. Work and collaborate with stakeholders and partners to align on project /program goals and resources.
12. Compile, manage and report on weekly/ monthly dashboard metrics and be responsible for leading many high profile meetings to align on project requirements.
13. Communicate the overall program roadmap and provide periodic status updates to the stakeholders and presenting programs / projects to senior leadership on a regular basis
14. Provide programs decision support, insights and recommendations through data gathering and information analyzing.

Basic qualifications

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 5+ years of program or project management experience specific on Environment/Extended Producer Responsibility reporting.
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to leadership
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or sustainability

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- 3+ years of driving environmental process improvements experience
- Master's degree in environmental science or sustainability or prior experience in Central Pollution Control Board
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field
