On October 26, 2026, Anthropic filed a Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the document a company files to sell shares to the public. You can read the S-1 on SEC.gov and the company announcement. The filing says Anthropic has applied to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol "ANT".
The S-1 also reports headcount. As of September 30, 2026, Anthropic had approximately 5,300 employees worldwide, and a majority work in research, engineering, and product development.
The filing leaves the offering price blank. Yahoo Finance reports that trading could start as soon as November 16, and NPR covered the filing. Dates can still move, so treat them as reported, not confirmed.
Has Anthropic filed for an IPO, and is it still hiring?
