Role Purpose:To become a single point of contact for all financial matters and to stand as the initial safeguard forauditors and any reporting needs, both internal and external. In addition, assisting the FinanceManager with daily requirements and backup as needed Designation: Lead AccountantBase Location: Navi MumbaiReporting to: Finance Head, DP World GSC Key Role Responsibilities:Deliverables Prepare and ensure timely closure of all accounting processes, supporting the accurate preparation of monthlyand annual financial reports in compliance with Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS standards. Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting documents for audit purposes. Prepare financial reports to ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Internal Financial Controls Prepare cost allocation as per business segments. Prepare provisioning for receivables, revenue recognition, and assist in the timely transfer of funds fromoverseas accounts. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash position reporting. Prepare and review expense accruals to ensure proper allocation and timely recognition of expenses. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to the General Ledger, ensuring timely andaccurate recording of all transactions. Manage Yearly audits of Financial Statement including Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit &Internal/ Group Audit. Ensure high-quality data entry and maintain the integrity of financial records, ensuring that supplier accountsand transactions are accurate and up to date. Identify and escalate unresolved discrepancies, anomalies, or process bottlenecks to the Team Lead/Managerfor further investigation and resolution. Follow internal policies, procedures, and accounting controls to ensure compliance with accounting standardsand legal regulations, mitigating financial risks. Participate in identifying process improvement opportunities, contributing ideas to streamline operations,enhance efficiency, and reduce manual intervention. Actively engage in cross-functional training to build knowledge of broader business functions, supportingcollaboration and gaining insights into the overall customer experience and financial impact Stakeholder Management Establish connect with Business teams (Internal and External) Ensure delivery as committed schedules & quality Process Management Establish clear process maps Identify opportunities to enhance process effectiveness Implement best practices Transaction processing Review / validate vendor invoices / Intercompany invoices for potential errors and discrepancies and resolvethe same Reconcile accounts, resolving discrepancies and collaborating across various Finance and non-Financefunctions effectively Support the annual audit and provide the external auditors with all the information requested Promptly. Assemble the annual audit information for external auditors. Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the Organization and itsbusiness partners. Any other responsibility/task; not limited to the above-mentioned tasks, that may be assigned from time totime in view of the job requirements. Skills & Competencies: 1-2 years of experience in accounting preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being able to handle individual tasks effectively. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting. Effective communication and problem-solving skills to manage customer inquiries and resolve issuesprofessionally. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage to account, Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information and preparing financial reports Good knowledge of accounting systems, and internal controls Should understand IFRS or Ind AS Education & Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant
