The incumbent independently performs technical analysis, executes operational activities through authorised Network Management Systems (NMS), and coordinates restoration activities in accordance with established operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

How you will make an impact:

• Performing technical assessment of complex submarine cable system alarms to determine probable fault domains and service impact.
• Executing operational activities through Network Management Systems (NMS) with authorised write access, requiring sound judgement to prevent unintended service disruption.
• Coordinate incident restoration activities with consortium members, Cable Landing Stations, equipment vendors and internal engineering teams.
• Execute restoration actions and monitor service recovery until normal operations are restored
• Preparing and submitting mandatory regulatory notifications within prescribed timelines during submarine cable outages.
• Maintain accurate incident chronology, operational records and shift documentation.
• Escalate operational issues, risks and unresolved incidents in accordance with established escalation procedures.
