Associate, Revenue & AP Operations
Chatham | Central Finance
Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together leading risk takers to advance global progress.
We’re looking for an Associate, Revenue & AP Operations to join our Central Finance team. You’ll help deliver the financial services that keep the Lloyd’s Market moving, working across revenue collection, accounts payable and expense processing.
It’s a varied role with real scale. You’ll work with teams across Lloyd’s, our branches and the wider market, making sure transactions are accurate, payments happen on time and financial controls work effectively.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take responsibility for a broad range of day-to-day finance operations, including:
- Managing revenue collection, reviewing billing information and helping recover Corporation revenue and Lloyd’s Market charges.
- Supporting accounts payable, from processing invoices and credit notes to reconciling supplier statements and completing scheduled UK and overseas payment runs.
- Completing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts and helping maintain accurate customer, supplier and banking information.
- Resolving queries by working directly with market participants, branches, customers and suppliers.
- Working with key finance systems, including Workday and Lloyd’s Market Apportionment, Reporting and Collection System (ARCS).
- Protecting strong financial controls, making sure processes follow the right authorisation requirements and procedures.
- Improving how we work, keeping procedures up to date and identifying opportunities to make processes simpler and more effective.
This isn’t simply about processing transactions. The team operates at the heart of a major global marketplace.
Our activity includes around £4.7 billion in annual market fund movements, more than 72,000 market advices and approximately 8,500 supplier invoices each year. You’ll also help support around 1,600 customers and 1,500 suppliers.
It’s an opportunity to understand how financial operations work at scale while developing your knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market.
What you’ll bring
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who brings:
- previous financial or finance operations experience
- strong attention to detail
- good organisation and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- confidence analysing information and resolving problems
- clear written and verbal communication
- experience working with different stakeholders
- good Microsoft Office skills
- an interest in understanding the systems, data and processes behind financial operations.
Experience with Workday, banking or payment systems, or the Lloyd’s Market would be useful, but Lloyd’s Market knowledge and Workday proficiency are preferred rather than essential.
You’ll be comfortable working independently within established processes. But you’ll also be ready to question, improve and contribute when there’s a better way to get something done.
Make the market better. It starts with you.
At Lloyd’s, how we deliver matters. We take the risk, make things happen and own the outcome. We work together, share different perspectives and turn insight into impact.
We want to build an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and has the opportunity to contribute and succeed.
If you’re looking to broaden your finance experience, work with significant financial operations and build your knowledge of a unique global marketplace, we’d like to hear from you.
It’s your opportunity. Own it.
Being inclusive at Lloyd’s is integral to how we work — and how we deliver impact.
We aim to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we serve, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and supported to reach their full potential.
We take the risk by challenging traditional thinking and being proactive about inclusion. That means being open and positive about workplace adjustments, prioritising health and wellbeing, and investing in diversity and inclusion training so everyone feels able to contribute and succeed.
We make things happen by turning our commitment into action. Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day‑to‑day — not just talked about.
We own the outcome by focusing on impact. By bringing together diverse perspectives and the best minds in the industry, we work collaboratively with underwriters and brokers to create innovative, responsive solutions that share risk and solve complex problems across global markets.

- List these exact terms on your resume: Accounts Payable, Revenue Collection, Reconciliation, Financial Controls, and Accounting Operations. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
