The Senior Corporate Communications role for Spain is responsible for strengthening company reputation through compelling content, corporate programs and strategic stakeholder engagement. The role leads issues and crisis prevention and management, while advancing Public Affairs, innovation, sustainability, social impact and scientific communications priorities. He/she drives as well Company Citizenship agenda showing the best of P&G internally and externally. The role requires close collaboration with multifunctional teams and external partners, together with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and credible narratives.
Role Description
P&G BUSINESS & REPUTATION BUILDING
- Build Company reputation through the delivery of compelling locally relevant corporate content and narratives across key business, innovation, scientific and societal topics, engaging key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen corporate reputation and business impact. Provide insightful, data-driven recommendations based on analysis, experience, sound judgement and an understanding of the external environment.
- Provide corporate communications and subject-matter expertise into joint business plans with Spanish retailers, covering relevant business, reputation, innovation and sustainability priorities.
- Partner with Governance/ Public Affairs and multifunctional teams on corporate reporting, reputation priorities and key business topics; coordinate data and inputs and provide consultation to improve and simplify processes.

- Lead local foresight and end-to-end issues and crisis management by assessing emerging risks, developing scenarios and response protocols, and coordinating timely decisions and actions to minimise business and reputation impact.
- Protect and build trust in the age of AI and misinformation by monitoring emerging narratives, identifying misleading or inaccurate content, and developing clear, evidence-based responses in partnership with relevant internal experts.
SHAPE THE ENVIRONMENT
- Lead and actively participate in the MO Public Affairs Council, contributing to the development and delivery of advocacy priorities.
- Integrate: Strengthen collaboration and alignment between Communications and Public Affairs.
- Build advocacy: Advance priorities around innovation, citizenship and trust through strategic relationships and relevant industry groups.
- Influence: Help shape key societal conversations that are relevant to the business and its reputation.
- Scientific communications:
- Manage cross-category scientific media and customer enquiries, ensuring clear, accurate and consistent responses.
- Develop scientific and evidence-based communications to support market-level commercial innovation and scaled programs, incorporating relevant external perspectives and Voice of the Expert (VoE).
CONNECTIONS
- Manage relationship with environmental sustainability external partners (NGO’s, academy, independent parties, environmental institutions, and other stakeholders).
- Maintain in good health relationship with local consumer associations to build credibility for P&G and its brands behind irresistible superiority that is sustainable.
- Partner with GPS (Global Product Stewardship), CIMP (Crisis and Issue Management Practice) and Scientific Communications (Sci Comm) across Europe.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, leading initiatives from idea to execution and delivering proven business impact.
- University degree in a relevant discipline; a scientific, technical or communications-related background—such as bioscience, chemistry, engineering, communications or a related field—is an advantage.
- Experience working in communications within a multinational and multifunctional environment is a plus, particularly the ability to translate complex business, scientific or technical topics into clear and compelling narratives.
- Proven leadership, collaboration, decision-making and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to set direction, align stakeholders, make sound judgements and deliver strong results against business goals.
- Strong curiosity about communications, science, innovation and emerging societal topics, together with the ability to apply evidence-based thinking to reputation-building.
- Proficiency level of Spanish and English language.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strategic Leadership and Accountability: lead key communications projects, aligned with European and global teams and business priorities.
- Superior Communication: communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Superior Collaboration and Networking: build strong internal and external networks and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Issues & Crisis experience is a plus
- Agility: this role requires a lot of agility and flexibility because of the number of projects to be managed simultaneously and because it is very dependent on current events and events that can happen from the outside, especially crises.
