We are looking for a Developer Relations Manager to help developers in Japan build, optimize, and deploy generative AI and agentic systems using NVIDIA technologies.

You will work directly with AI-native companies, model builders, startups, and enterprise engineering teams. Your focus will span AI agents, agent harnesses—the software that manages agent execution, tools, and state—and the models and infrastructure that power them.

This is a hands-on technical role combining developer engagement, software development, developer education, and ecosystem strategy. Initial priorities will focus on AI Native and Agentic AI, with opportunities to expand into financial services as developer demand grows.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build technical relationships with developers, founders, and engineering leaders across Japan’s AI ecosystem, finding opportunities for NVIDIA technologies to address their needs.
  • Help developers build and improve agentic applications, including tool use, orchestration, retrieval, memory, evaluation, and reliable execution.
  • Support adoption of relevant NVIDIA technologies, including Nemotron, NeMo, CUDA-X libraries, and OpenShell, matching the technology to each developer’s workload.
  • Create and maintain runnable demos, sample applications, integration guides, tutorials, and hands-on labs that help developers move from experimentation to deployment.
  • Deliver technical workshops, talks, office hours, and community programs in Japan.
  • Work with NVIDIA engineering, product, solutions architecture, and account teams to resolve technical barriers and translate developer feedback into product improvements.
  • Help teams assess model quality, latency, throughput, cost, and operational tradeoffs.
  • Extend successful approaches within the financial sector, working with domain specialists on data privacy, security, governance, and operational requirements.
  • Measure progress through active developer adoption, successful integrations, repeat engagement, and resolved technical issues.

What we need to see

  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, applied AI/ML, developer relations, solutions architecture, or developer platforms.
  • Strong Python skills and experience building, debugging, and deploying LLM applications or agentic workflows beyond prompt experimentation.
  • Practical understanding of tool calling, APIs, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and common agent failure modes.
  • Familiarity with open models, model serving, and GPU-accelerated AI; the ability to reason about performance and deployment tradeoffs.
  • Experience with Git, Linux, containers, and collaborative software development.
  • Evidence of helping other developers succeed through technical guidance, documentation, workshops, open-source collaboration, or direct engineering support.
  • Strong communication skills in Japanese and English, sufficient to work with developers in Japan and global product and engineering teams.
  • The ability to prioritize independently across a developing ecosystem and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience building agent harnesses, coding agents, multi-agent systems, or developer tools.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Experience with agent sandboxing, permissions, credential handling, observability, and secure execution.
  • Practical experience with NVIDIA AI software, open-model customization, fine-tuning, or inference optimization.
  • Open-source contributions, reusable technical resources, or a track record of building developer communities.
  • Experience working with Japanese AI-native companies, research organizations, telecom operators, or enterprise AI teams.
  • Experience deploying AI in financial services or another regulated industry.

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
  2. Walk me through fine-tuning a model: what data did you use, and how did you check the result?
  3. Tell me about a project where developer relations was part of your work. What did you do?
  4. Tell me about a project where generative ai was part of your work. What did you do?
  5. Tell me about a project where agentic ai was part of your work. What did you do?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents, Fine-tuning, Developer Relations, Generative AI, and Agentic AI. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
