The function acts as the link between business, technology, operations and enabling functions, ensuring that ideas translate into measurable business value. Through stakeholder engagement, governance, and execution support, COO CSM accelerates transformation, innovation, and operational excellence for DWS.
COO CSM is a core pillar of DWS' target operating model, bringing together business, product, engineering and enabling functions to accelerate the path from opportunity identification to scalable business outcomes.
The CSM CFO Co-Lead plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery, adoption and value realization of strategic AI initiatives across DWS. The role sits at the intersection of business, technology and governance, ensuring that high-value AI opportunities are translated into scalable products, measurable business value and sustainable operating model improvements.
As part of the global CSM team, the role will drive AI innovation across CFO and beyond, focusing on complex, high-value use cases that cannot be addressed through off-the-shelf solutions. Within this scope the CSM Co-lead will act as facilitator to translate previously defined and prioritized use cases to engineering demand to test the feasibility. Once the use case has been translated into a prototype by the CSM Engineering Team, you continue acting as sparring partner to the CFO Co-Lead and CTO during scalability phase.
The role creates alignment across senior stakeholders, technology teams and control functions to accelerate delivery and unlock the full potential of AI for DWS.
Your Key Responsibilities
AI Product Management, Enablement & Value Realization for CFO
- Support the prioritization and further definition of complex, high-value use cases that cannot be addressed through standard solutions, by translating business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational opportunities into product requirements.
- Co-manage the corresponding CFO AI portfolio, supporting the prioritization and maturation of high-value AI opportunities across Finance, Tax & Treasury, Procurement, IR & Risk Management, Sustainability and beyond.
- Drive AI innovation across CFO and beyond, focusing on complex, high-value use cases that require tailored solutions beyond standard market offerings, enabling the delivery of measurable business outcomes across DWS.
Governance, Risk & Responsible AI
- Establish and help to accelerate governance frameworks, operating models and decision-making processes for AI-enabled products and capabilities across CFO together with the Co-Lead.
- Advise product teams to ensure advanced AI products are balancing innovation, speed-to-market and business impact with DWS' governance, compliance and risk management standards.
Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery
- Act as the strategic counterpart to the CFO Co-Lead and wider leadership representing the primary interface between Customer Success Management and the CFO division.
- Build trusted relationships across Finance, Tax & Treasury, Procurement, IR & Risk Management, Sustainability and beyond.
- Lead cross-functional delivery of pioneering AI and digital products opportunities, resolving dependencies, managing trade-offs and ensuring organizational alignment.
- Support stakeholder engagement between within CFO and beyond to maximize business impact and value realization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, customer centricity and continuous improvement.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in AI Product Management, Digital Transformation, Product Strategy, Technology Delivery or related leadership roles within Asset Management, Financial Services or other regulated industries.
- Proven track record of identifying business opportunities and translating complex business challenges into scalable AI-enabled products, workflows and operating models, especially in highly sensitive and regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, AI platforms and practical enterprise AI adoption, complemented by expertise in product management disciplines, state-of-the-art delivery methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Demonstrated experience owning products or strategic initiatives across the full lifecycle from discovery and business case development through implementation, adoption and value realization, especially in connection with core CFO capabilities across Finance, Treasury, Planning & Performance Management, Regulatory Framework and Reporting, Sustainability Disclosure, and Cost Management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to influence business, technology, risk and control stakeholders and engage effectively in executive and governance forums.
- Experience operating at the intersection of business, technology, data, governance and operations, with a strong understanding of risk, compliance and control frameworks in regulated environments and the ability to translate requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to support the definition of success metrics, value realization frameworks and data-driven decision-making approaches for emerging AI and digital initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to structure ambiguity and drive strategic decisions with limited information.
- Experience driving organizational change, user adoption and capability building for digital products, data products and AI-enabled solutions.
