Executive Assistant, Public Policy

Amazon is seeking an exceptionally bright and self-motivated individual to support the Director, Tax, LatAm & Canada Policy.

This role will report directly to the Chief of Staff, Public Policy, and provide administrative and substantive policy support for this Director, including budget management/planning, background research, briefing material preparation, calendaring, expense reconciliation, and travel booking. The role will also support the growing Public Policy team on project-based matters related to external policy engagement and internal/external-facing projects and initiatives. Finally, this role will assist Public Policy leadership on specific day-to-day deliverables and big picture projects.

Key job responsibilities
• The position requires superior attention to detail, writing/proofreading proficiency, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests.
• A high level of discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside of the company is important.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without knowing the total picture.
• An ability and desire to travel is required.

This position will work with other assistants throughout the team and across the rest of the company.

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of executive assistant experience
- Experience with executive level calendar management
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

Preferred qualifications

- Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
- Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact with senior executives.
- Experience working in a trade association, law firm, or similar environment.
- Experience supporting budget and expense management.
- Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
