The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Global Services Organization (BGS) has an opportunity for an Experienced Procurement Agent (Level 3) to join the Supplier Management team located in Hazelwood, MO. The successful candidate will support procurement activities for build - to - print spares in a fast-paced environment while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the Supply Chain organization.
This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment for a high volume of supplier purchase orders/contracts
- Oversee source selection for parts and services
- Manage contractual documents and binding agreements including preparing, negotiating, executing, and documenting Request for Proposals (RFP), supplier contracts, and purchase orders in accordance with regulatory requirements and Boeing procedures
- Support Proposal Board activity including gathering supplier cost and lead time inputs to support customer proposals, Requests for Information (RFI), and business development opportunities
- Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities to ensure delivery, quality, and financial stability
- Manage supplier performance, interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditions in support of Government Prime / Commercial contracts.
- Ability to problem solve and interact with suppliers in meeting contract and engineering requirements and/or proposals
- Communicate and engage with stakeholders to ensure that program and customer strategies are integrated into supplier source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies
- Communicate across functions, programs, and suppliers to effectively manage risks, issues and opportunities
- Lead special projects to execute continuous improvement initiatives
- The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. S 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) (Experienced / Level 3):
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes and procedures
- 3+ years of experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, pricing and contract/purchase order placement
- 3+ years of experience with placing procurements and/or managing suppliers under government prime contracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer is highly desired
- Experience in proposing, negotiating, and executing purchase contracts in a FAR/DFAR contracting environment is desired
- Experience with transactional sourcing and managing supplier performance is desired
