Fall Protection Sales Specialist

Job Description:

• Contribute to achievement of national sales targets for Fall Protection and the Personal Safety Division (PSD and achieve Fall Protection Sales Targets for NSW territory

• Development and implementation of sales plan to manage Distributors and End User accounts in territory

• Identify and close new business opportunities and increase 3M share of wallet with end user customers in sales territory with a focus on identified market segments

• Establishes and enhances business relationships with major distributors in territory including conducting product training and education on 3M value proposition

• Support and implement marketing programs, including product and trailer demonstrations

• Leverage management, marketing & technical staff to improve key business relationships and achieve sales targets

Qualification

Essential:

• Higher School Certificate or equivalent

• No Specific Tertiary Qualifications required

• The incumbent will ideally have formal business qualifications at a tertiary level or have achieved equivalence through diversified experience in industry and commerce. Postgraduate qualifications would be highly regarded.

• 3-5 years Sales experience with proven results.

• Key Account Management experience preferred but not mandatory

• Understand category management, motivational tools

• Basic understanding of finance, logistics, operations and good business acumen

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS GAINED FROM COURSE WORK OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

• Proven sales and key account management experience with strong business acumen.

• Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively manage key internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage customer insights, market trends, and industry analysis to drive business growth.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and active listening skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, customer-focused, and innovative approach.

• High attention to detail with confidence in engaging diverse stakeholders.

• Experience in developing new business solutions and identifying growth opportunities.

• Knowledge of industrial products, manufacturing, or related industry terminology is an advantage.
