Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS) enables third-party merchants to leverage Amazon's fulfillment, distribution, and transportation network across multiple services including Shipping, Freight, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCCF), Air, Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD), and Veeqo. As the organization scales, capital investments, network design decisions, and long-term cost structure planning are becoming increasingly critical to ASCS profitability and strategic direction. We are looking for a Finance Manager to own CAPEX investment analysis, network finance, and long-term financial modeling across all six ASCS businesses.

This role sits at the intersection of ASCS Finance, Operations, Network Planning, and the corporate CAPEX finance team. The ideal candidate has strong experience building return on investment models, analyzing capital allocation decisions, and translating complex financial analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership. They are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, partnering with operations and cost owners to evaluate trade-offs, and presenting investment cases to VP-level audiences. This role reports into ASCS FP&A Finance.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end CAPEX investment analysis and reporting across all six ASCS businesses (Shipping, Freight, MCCF, Air, MCD, Veeqo), delivering consolidated views for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.

- Build and maintain Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) and Return on Assets (ROA) models to evaluate the financial performance of ASCS capital deployments

- Develop long-term free cash flow models to inform multi-year investment strategy and help leadership understand the cash generation trajectory of ASCS.

- Partner with operations teams on network design decisions, providing financial analysis on facility investments, capacity expansion, and network topology changes

- Analyze long-term cost structure across ASCS to identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and investment prioritization

- Partner with the corporate CAPEX finance team to ensure ASCS capital requests are properly justified, documented, and aligned with Amazon-wide capital allocation frameworks

- Work directly with cost owners in each business to understand cost drivers, validate assumptions, and build bottom-up investment cases

- Present investment analytics and recommendations to ASCS leadership (L8-L10), translating complex financial models into clear narratives that shape capital allocation decisions

- Support OP1/OP2 annual planning and QxG quarterly cycles with CAPEX and investment-specific inputs, bridging variances and forecasting future capital needs

- Build long-term scalable solutions leveraging AI, including dashboards, automation workstreams, and self-service tools for business and finance leaders

- Thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with competing priorities across finance, operations, and business teams

A day in the life
As part of a team that is building from scratch, you will spend your time connecting with key stakeholders across operations, the corporate CAPEX finance team, and business cost owners. You will build financial models that evaluate capital investment trade-offs, present analytics to help shape where ASCS invests, and own the numbers that inform network design and long-term cost decisions. One day you might be modeling the ROI of a new sort center, the next day you could be analyzing the free cash flow impact of a fleet expansion. The work is highly visible, directly influencing decisions made by VPs and senior leadership.

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Financial Modeling, Capex Analysis, Roaic, Financial Planning, and Excel. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
