This Finance Manager role supports the Outbound Global Transportation Services Team(GTS). In this role, the Finance Manager will own supporting the GTS team in the planning and reporting of key KPIs and financial impacts. The GTS team optimizes transportation assets to maximize Cost, Capacity Constraints, and Customer experience. Given the NA Stores Senior Leadership focus on improving cost-to-serve and sustainability this role will be focused on cost reduction initiatives, granular financial planning through incorporation in input KPIs, and tracking actual performance against these initiatives and plans, while subsequently zooming out to confirm whether the expected network benefits are materializing across the NA Stores P&L. This role combines aspects of FP&A such as planning and insights with aspects of strategic finance and end-to-end cost management across many groups within Outbound transportation.

The Finance Manager will partner directly with GTS Leaders while collaborating with a wide range of key stakeholders across retail and operations business and finance teams. This role will have significant senior leadership visibility, as GTS impacts are a key lever in reducing over all cost to serve. The Finance Manager will be required to Invent and Simplify processes and work cross-functionally with groups with different objectives. Additionally, they will have to communicate complex trade-offs to senior leadership


Key job responsibilities
Builds bottoms-up financial plans that are aligned with the broader OB teams costs, using relationships from Input KPIs.

Quantifies initiative impacts on end-to-end financials, partners with cross-functional finance teams to validate the impacts, and ensures incorporation into related input metrics and financial plans.

Creates/Maintains Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting track GTS performance and initiative execution versus plan, combining strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to up-level content/narratives for an Senior audience

Creates frameworks and mechanisms to intake initiatives to improve GTS costs

About the team
The GTS team ensures that the total OB network is making optimal choices. As the finance team, we have understand the E2E outbound network and ensure we are optimizing financials throughout the supply chain. This work is highly cross functional, data driven, and has high visibility with Sr. Leadership. Many of the largest financial impacts in the Network has relied on GTS initiative (ex. Regionalization, ramping down 3P carriers, etc.).

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
