About the Role

The Platform Enablement & Automation team turns business requirements into live, production-grade configuration across Payoneer's products, and builds the internal platform that makes it possible. We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer, a strongly technical, hands-on engineer who embeds directly with the business teams the platform serves, learns their needs firsthand, and owns the solution end to end, from understanding the business problem to writing the code, managing the pipeline, and shipping to production. The role combines real engineering depth with a strong business orientation and a solution-first mindset, and AI-assisted development is central to how the team builds, not an add-on.

What you will do:

• Own solutions end to end, from business requirements to design, build, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Embed with the business teams the platform serves, capturing requirements firsthand and turning them into working software that removes manual, repetitive work.
• Build across the stack with AI-assisted development, from Node.js services to the React front end and the data layer, understanding the generated code well enough to guide, review, and fix it.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of daily work, to design, prototype, write, and ship production-grade software faster.
• Build and extend the platform's AI-native capabilities, including AI-assisted workflows, agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and self-service.
• Manage version control, branching, pipelines, and releases across Sandbox, QA, and production. 

Who you are:

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in software engineering or a closely related technical role, such as implementation or integration engineering, technical consulting, business systems or automation engineering, DevOps, or technical support engineering, with ownership of solutions from concept through production.
• Solid understanding of Node.js, and a strong ability to read and understand code at a high level, including code you didn't write.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and its core concepts, from requirements and design through testing, release, and maintenance.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, with a proven track record of using them daily to build real, production-grade software.
• Practical experience with AI and LLM platforms, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• A solid command of version control, pipelines, and multi-environment release management (Git or Azure DevOps).
• A solution-first, business-oriented mindset: able to work directly with business stakeholders and turn an ambiguous need into a clear technical approach, then ship it. 

Advantage:

• Experience in fintech or payments.
• Experience with document and relational databases (MongoDB, SQL / MSSQL).
