CAPCO POLAND

*We are looking for Poland based candidate.

At Capco Poland, we’re not just another consultancy - we’re the spark behind digital transformation in the financial world. As a global leader in technology and management consulting, we thrive on helping clients tackle the toughest challenges across banking, payments, capital markets, wealth, and asset management.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join Capco on a project within investment banking. The ideal candidate brings strong Python backend development expertise, hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, and a solid understanding of scalable APIs and cloud technologies. Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and AI agents is also important. You'll build secure, production-ready applications, combining strong engineering practices with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs, primarily using Python.
  • Deliver production-quality code through sound engineering practices: version control, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, and clear technical documentation.
  • Integrate services with internal platforms, data sources and third-party APIs, handling authentication, authorisation, resilience, and error management appropriately.
  • Build and support AI-enabled features, including integrations with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt workflows, and agentic patterns.
  • Implement appropriate AI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and human oversight to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and used responsibly.
  • Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and operational incidents; use logs, metrics, and traces to improve reliability.
  • Work with product, design, data, and engineering colleagues to turn requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, estimate work realistically and deliver agreed outcomes to time and quality expectations.
  • Keep up to date with relevant engineering, AI and security practices, applying them pragmatically to day-to-day delivery.

Required skills:

  • Strong hands-on Python development experience, including building backend applications, services, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with common Python frameworks and tooling, such as FastAPI, Flask or Django; pytest; dependency/package management; and asynchronous programming where relevant.
  • Front-end development experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern UI/component libraries.
  • Experience building full-stack applications or collaborating closely with frontend engineers on API contracts and user journeys.
  • Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals: clean code, object-oriented and/or functional design, testing, debugging, API design, and source control.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, writing efficient queries and designing data models.
  • Practical experience building or integrating generative AI solutions using LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks.
  • Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt design, agent workflows, model evaluation, and AI safety/guardrails.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted applications, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Awareness of secure development practices, including secrets management, access control, data protection, and dependency security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous technical issues.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain technical decisions to engineers and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with observability tooling, such as application logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
  • Experience working in regulated, enterprise-scale or security-conscious environments.

How we rate this

Full Stack Engineer (Python/React/Typescript) at Capco rates 63 out of 100 for how much of the daily work is AI. That makes it Works on AI (AI Level 3 of 4). The level is about AI in the job, not seniority.

Classification

Works on AI. The daily work is on AI products, without building the model.

  1. ●●●● Builds AI80 to 100
  2. ●●●○ Works on AI60 to 79
  3. ●●○○ Uses AI40 to 59
  4. ●○○○ Little AI0 to 39

Levels come from how often the tools, models and workflows of the role are named in the posting itself. Read the description and count the AI tools, models and workflows it names.

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you structure and test a prompt to get consistent output from a language model?
  2. How would you design a retrieval step so the model answers from real data instead of guessing?
  3. How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
  4. How do you decide that one model's output is better than another's for a given task?
  5. How do you think about the risk of an AI system in this kind of role failing silently?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, AI Evaluation, and AI Safety. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
