Build and improve cloud services and web solutions for enterprise IT management platforms at Cisco.
Meet the Team
At Cisco Devices’ innovation center in Lysaker, just outside Oslo, more than 300 engineers work across hardware, software, mechanics, audio, media processing, and artificial intelligence. Together, we turn ideas into products and create video conferencing experiences used around the world.
Admin Solutions builds the cloud services and web solutions that help enterprise IT teams keep their devices secure, up to date, and working well. Our services connect products and teams across the site: when a new device or software feature is introduced, Admin Solutions helps make sure it works seamlessly across the customer’s environment.
Our cloud services operate at global scale, supporting a large number of connected devices and handling a high volume of requests every day. The features you build help our customers run their environments reliably and securely.
We’re looking for a software engineer who wants to work across the stack. You’ll join one of nine engineering teams across Oslo and RTP, North Carolina, partnering with engineers, Product Management, Design, and customers to understand problems and build useful solutions.
Your Impact
You’ll help give IT administrators the tools to manage their devices with confidence. Your team will own features from early customer discussions through development, testing, deployment, operations, and support. The mix of cloud and front-end work can reflect both the needs of the team and your interests, with room to grow into new parts of the stack.
You will:
- Build and improve cloud services that connect and support Cisco devices
- Develop features for Control Hub, our management portal for enterprise IT administrators
- Work with colleagues across the company, with opportunities to contribute to other clients, device software, and web applications
- Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Design, and customers to identify needs and shape solutions
- Help deliver reliable software through testing, code reviews, and shared on-call responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ year of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Angular, or React. Experience with other relevant programming languages is also welcome.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud services, APIs, or distributed systems
- Experience with software testing, code reviews, or supporting applications in production
- Curiosity about developing skills across the stack and working collaboratively
