As part of our End-to-End (E2E) operating model, you will drive accountability for transferring the site selection decision to the technical transfer organization. Your role has a significant impact on the achievement of company goals and requires broad knowledge across Pharma Technical Operations (PT), strong strategic and business acumen, and excellent matrix leadership abilities in close partnership with key stakeholders, including Product Strategy Leaders (PSLs), Technical Development Leaders (TDLs), Tech Transfer Leads (TTLs), Site Heads, and Manufacturing Unit (MU) Heads.
The Opportunity:
- Lead the end-to-end site selection process from data collection to final decision endorsement by the One PT Board.
- Develop strategic scenarios and analyze multi-variable options using a portfolio and manufacturing network lens to enable optimal sourcing decisions.
- Partner collaboratively with key customers, leaders, and cross-functional teams across Pharma Technical Operations (PT) to co-create network solutions.
- Create comprehensive execution plans within the sourcing process, integrating strategic and tactical inputs for seamless technical transfer.
- Orchestrate the implementation of E2E supply chains and individual manufacturing nodes across Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Secondary Packaging.
- Lead global cross-functional teams with a Lean and Continuous Improvement mindset, maintaining an uncompromising focus on outcomes and patient impact.
- Anticipate risks, critical dependencies, and strategic milestones, proactively driving issue resolution alongside transfer teams and governance bodies.
- Act as a trusted strategic consultant to senior leadership and serve as an internal and external spokesperson regarding sourcing policies, plans, and business operations.
Who you are:
- Education: BS or MS degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 5–8 years in global roles with regular senior management interaction; prior strategy and senior matrix leadership experience is a plus.
- Industry & Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), regulatory requirements, process development, and end-to-end supply chains.
- Strategic & Business Acumen: Demonstrated capability to think strategically from an enterprise perspective, translate high-level strategy into actionable operational plans, and maintain execution rigor for technical transfers.
- Leadership & Methodologies: Proven leadership in complex, global matrix organizations with demonstrated success applying Agile and/or Lean ways of working.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills across all levels, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex challenges, and build trustful relationships.
