Head of Business Finance - B2C

Description

We are seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our airline as Head of Business Finance – B2C, providing strategic financial leadership to our consumer-facing business. This role will act as the key finance partner to Marketing, Digital, Loyalty and Customer Experience, driving profitability, revenue growth, and long-term value creation.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with deep financial expertise to translate business strategy into actionable financial insights, enabling data-driven decision-making in a dynamic and highly competitive aviation environment.

Role Responsibilities

•  Serve as the trusted finance advisor to senior commercial B2C leadership.

• Support the development and execution of the airline's B2C growth strategy.

• Influence key business decisions through robust financial analysis and recommendations.

• Evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, partnerships, and new revenue opportunities

• Monitor business performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations.

• Develop KPI frameworks and executive dashboards focused on revenue, profitability, and customer metrics.

• Drive accountability for financial performance across the B2C portfolio.

• Deliver timely insights to support executive decision-making.

• Lead financial evaluation of large-scale strategic initiatives and transformation programs.

• Build business cases and investment appraisals for new products, digital solutions, and customer-focused innovations.

• Identify risks and opportunities impacting revenue, margins, and overall financial performance.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

• Drive capability building in financial modelling, analytics, and business partnering.

• Promote strong governance, compliance, and financial controls.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of job-related history.

• 5 years in an airline management position and people management expertise.

• Finance Business Partner to B2C divisions and stakeholders experience, preferably in large and structured Companies.

•  Knowledgeable in airline operations, with a preference to commercial matters.

• Good Command of English language.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances and understand the business cycle and their impact on the profit and loss account.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization.

• Strongly developed “soft skills”, high level of integrity, open /transparent, team player.

• Passionate about digitalization and innovation.

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric driven approach.

• Must have an excellent organizational ability to be able to set priorities and handle multiple tasks.

• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
