Our multidisciplinary engineers combine architecture, structural and civil engineering with software development, and they build that know-how into the platform, so you don’t need to be an expert to design a building.

We use AI across our team, with dedicated AI & ML specialists and engineers who use AI agents every day to prototype and ship faster. In the platform, AI handles non-creative decisions and checks designs, that way, users can focus on the design itself.

When a design is ready, it goes straight to our automated factory. There, machines and robots we build ourselves make the components with precision, and the components are shipped for fast assembly on site.

Software, engineering, robotics and manufacturing all sit under one roof at ZURU Tech, backed by the scale and founder-led drive of ZURU Group: 5,000 people in 34 offices, selling into more than 150 markets, with over 100 acres of fully automated manufacturing. And we’re only getting started.

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a product-driven web engineer to own our websites and web apps in Italy. You will build and maintain static websites and web applications using React and Node.js, working side by side with our product designers to turn their ideas into robust, well-engineered products, and giving them the technical confidence they need when judging how things should be built.

You will:

• Build and maintain ZURU's product websites (including static / marketing sites) and web applications with React.

• Work on the Node.js backend: extend it, maintain it and keep it healthy.

• Take ownership of existing web codebases, improve their quality and keep them maintainable over time.

• Partner with product designers: translate designs into production, advise on technical feasibility and help them make sound decisions.

• Rapidly prototype new ideas and bring the successful ones to production.

• Review and quality-gate web code, including code produced with AI coding agents.
  

Must have:

• Strong, hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem (TypeScript, modern build tooling, state management, routing).

• Experience building static websites and performant web apps (e.g. Next.js or similar, SEO, accessibility, performance).

• Working experience with Node.js backends and REST/API integration.

• Ability to read, understand and maintain codebases you did not write.

• Strong product sense and a collaborative attitude towards design.

• Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools and the judgement to review their output critically.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to mobile or native development (e.g. React Native), so you can contribute there if needed.

• Experience working closely with designers or in a design-led team.

• Startup experience or having shipped your own web products.

• CI/CD, hosting and deployment experience for web projects
