AI in this role
Design and scale logistics training content leveraging AI tools and e-learning authoring software at Amazon.
Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be Earth's most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. We aim to exceed our customers' expectations by ensuring that their orders—no matter how large or small—are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.
About the Role
The EU Learning Design team is looking for an Instructional Designer to own the creation and management of learning content for our T3+ and LDEV (Leadership Development) population.
You are a hands-on, "sleeves rolled up" content creator who is fluent in authoring tools—particularly Articulate Rise and Storyline—and who actively leverages AI to design, accelerate, and scale learning content. You will spend time on the ground to understand the operational working environment and translate it into engaging, high-quality content that serves every type of learner, integrated with our Learning Management Systems (LMS).
This is a high-impact, fast-paced role in a dynamic manufacturing and logistics environment. The ability to travel across the EU and UK&IE region, as and when required, is essential.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end design, development, and lifecycle management of learning content for the T3+ and LDEV population.
• Author engaging e-learning using Articulate Rise and Storyline across multiple modalities (e-learning, instructor-led, blended, microlearning).
• Use AI tools to accelerate content design and development, from drafting and storyboarding to media generation, localization, and iteration, while maintaining quality and instructional rigor.
• Build and manage content integrations with Learning Management Systems and author to standards such as SCORM/xAPI.
• Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to content for diverse learning styles.
• Immerse yourself in the operational environment to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and grounded in real working conditions.
• Partner with operations leaders, L&D teams, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and validate content.
• Define and measure learning effectiveness, iterating on content based on data and stakeholder feedback.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Basic Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, including a track record of successfully designing content in a fast-paced manufacturing, logistics, or operational environment.
• Demonstrable, hands-on proficiency with Articulate Rise and Storyline (portfolio or work samples expected).
• Experience using AI tools to design, create, and scale learning content.
• Hands-on experience developing content and managing integrations with Learning Management Systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the EU/UK&IE region as required.
• Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS administration.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing leadership development or management-level (T3+/LDEV) content.
• Experience with additional authoring/media tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Vyond, Camtasia).
• Experience applying AI responsibly at scale (prompt design, quality control, review workflows).
• Experience measuring learning impact and applying data to improve content.
• Experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and languages within the EU region.
A day in the life
- Intake requests from Learning Field Excellence, LDEV, Learning Change Managers and other OPS and/or L&D partners.
- Pull content from SMEs, read Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
- Design and build e-learning in Articulate Rise and Storyline, using AI to accelerate drafting, media, and localization.
- Publish to the LMS (SCORM/xAPI) and troubleshoot integration.
- Analyze learning data and iterate; align standards with peer designers.
About the team
You'll join EU E2E Learning Design, the team that owns the end-to-end learning content production lifecycle across Amazon's EU business lines. From instructional design to graphic and media production and Associate customer support, we serve every learner segment; Associates, Managers, central functions, Leadership Development (LDEV), and third-party audiences.
Our mission is to translate Learning Path needs into high-quality, innovative, and engaging learning products that meet Amazon's business standards and drive real business and learner outcomes. We bring together Learning Experience Designers, Graphic/Media Designers, and Central Services into one integrated team, working closely with subject matter experts to turn complex operational information into clear, interactive content that people actually remember and use.
This role sits within our AMZL T3+ and Leadership Development (LDEV) space, designing content that helps our leaders grow and run world-class operations. Culturally, we're hands-on, collaborative, and quality-obsessed — early adopters of modern authoring tools (Articulate Rise and Storyline) and AI to design better content, faster, while raising the bar for each other and sharing wins as a team.

- Experience in stakeholder and communication management
- Experience analyzing data metrics
Preferred qualifications
