The role of IB Operations covers a wide range of activities. Following the buying and selling of financial products and services by the bank, we ensure that each transaction is captured accurately and in a timely manner to ensure effective risk management, cleared, documented and confirmed, settled and reconciled, all within a tightly controlled environment in adherence with global regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities

• As an Operations Expert - Analyst / Sr. Analyst in Middle Office, you will ensure timely booking of trades within all requisite systems. Will support APAC operations hours.
• You will apply problem solving and investigative techniques to trade booking / flow issues.
• You will update of trade amendments within pre-requisite systems where required.
• You will apply root cause investigation to repetitive issues or problems.
• You will build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholder groups, onshore and offshore.
• You will identify risk and possible escalation of any trade or booking issues and endorse to your team manager.

Your skills and experience

• The ideal candidate for this post has a Bachelor’s Degree of Finance or Business course.
• At least 1-2 years of prior experience in an Investment Banking or Commercial Bank Operations is highly preferred. We are also open to fresh graduates for the analyst role.
• Proficiency in MS Office application is required.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential to the role.
• Strong customer service skills, and good communication skills are also required.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team and a pro-active attitude are also needed to succeed in the role.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

• • Trade Support & Control
    • Oversee trade capture, validation, and exception management to ensure timely and accurate booking across asset classes.
    • Ensure daily P&L and risk reporting is accurate and delivered on time.
    • Monitor and resolve breaks in trade lifecycle processes (e.g., reconciliation issues, settlement mismatches).

• • Risk & Controls
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
    • Identify, escalate, and remediate control gaps or operational risks.
    • Partner with audit, compliance, and risk teams to support regulatory and internal reviews.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Coordinate with Front Office, Back Office, Finance, Compliance, and external stakeholders.
    • Work closely with technology teams for process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
