Junior Group Accountant (f/m/d)

Purpose of Position

As Junior Group Accountant, you will support the Senior Group Accountant in delivering accurate, timely and high-quality consolidated financial reporting for the Awin Group under IFRS. You will assist with consolidation and reporting processes, support colleagues across the Accounting team on entity accounting and reporting topics and contribute to the continuous improvement of our reporting systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist the Senior Group Accountant with group consolidation activities and IFRS reporting for the Awin Group
• Support monthly and annual group closing activities and help meet agreed reporting deadlines
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations, group reporting packages and related group-level deliverables for review
• Support the preparation of financial analysis and management reporting to enable transparent and reliable group-level insights
• Assist with audit requests and shareholder reporting requirements related to group reporting and consolidation
• Contribute to process and system improvements in the group reporting and consolidation landscape
• Support colleagues in the Accounting team and local finance teams on entity accounting, reporting and consolidation-related topics
• Support the day-to-day use, data maintenance and documentation of Awin’s consolidation tool LucaNet
• This role offers the opportunity to build broad experience in group accounting, consolidation and IFRS reporting, with structured guidance and clear development opportunities within Awin’s international finance landscape.

Key Skills

• First professional experience (approximately 1–2 years, including internships or working-student roles) in accounting, group accounting, consolidation or audit; graduates with relevant practical experience are encouraged to apply
• Basic understanding of consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliation, reporting packages and group-level financial statements, with a clear willingness to develop this further
• Working knowledge of IFRS and an interest in developing an understanding of local GAAP requirements; tax knowledge is beneficial but not essential
• Good Microsoft Excel skills; first exposure to ERP, reporting or consolidation tools such as Microsoft D365 and LucaNet is an advantage
• Team player with a global mindset and the ability to build international working relationships.
• Structured, accurate and proactive way of working, with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment
• Ability to stay organised, ask questions and prioritise effectively during tight reporting deadlines.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
• First practical experience in an accounting, group accounting, consolidation or audit environment preferred
• Ongoing or planned studies towards a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, IFRS Accountant or German “Bilanzbuchhalter” are an advantage
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with strong analytical and interpersonal skills (Company language: English)
• Further languages (Romanian/German) are an advantage
• Microsoft D365, LucaNet, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Tagetik and Power BI.
