Job Description & Summary
A career in our Cyber Security practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Our team helps business leaders protect and manage their risk related to information regarding technology, people, systems, processes, culture, and physical surroundings. We help clients’ understand their current capability and develop a plan to target cyber security investment, helping to respond to actual cyber incidents, and advising on legal issues related to breaches, data privacy, and protection.
We are looking for:
Lead Cybersecurity Engineer – Google SecOps
Your future role
- Own the technical vision, engineering standards and delivery methodology for Google SecOps services and implementations.
- Act as the technical lead for complex SIEM, EDR and Threat Detection & Response transformation programs.
- Define reference architectures, onboarding frameworks, engineering accelerators and reusable deployment patterns.
- Lead complex Google SecOps implementation, migration and managed services onboarding projects.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and automation practices across security engineering teams.
- Review and approve technical designs, implementation approaches and engineering deliverables produced by other team members.
- Mentor, coach and develop security engineers through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Google SecOps-related challenges and strategic client engagements.
- Support recruitment, capability development and growth of the Google SecOps engineering team.
- Collaborate with technology vendors, internal stakeholders and clients to shape future service offerings.
Apply if you have
- 6+ years of experience delivering cybersecurity engineering, implementation or consulting projects.
- Educational background in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related technical field.
- Proven experience leading complex SIEM (or other similar technologies) implementation, migration or security transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience with Google SecOps and practical knowledge of other enterprise SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or Elastic.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale security monitoring architectures and operating models.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps tooling such as Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Experience building reusable engineering frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Experience leading engineering teams, technical workstreams or communities of practice.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- English language skills at C1 level or higher.
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling a Google SecOps practice or security engineering capability.
- Google Cloud, Google SecOps or other industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience working directly with Google or other strategic technology partners.
- Experience supporting presales activities, solution shaping and large-scale proposals.
- Experience defining engineering governance, technical standards and quality assurance processes.
- Experience managing or mentoring multiple engineers across several concurrent engagements.
