About the business area - Group Credit

 

The Credit Group, within the Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG), oversees corporate credit risk management, including Strategic Clients and Government Banking Division, Financial Institutions Division, and Corporate and Mid-Market Banking segment of the Business Banking Group. It evelopss and implements systems and procedures for the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control of credit risk, aligning with the bank's overall Risk framework and Risk Appetite policy.

 

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage the delivery of risk analytics, management information, portfolio insights, forecasting and stress-testing outputs to support credit-risk monitoring and informed decision-making, ensuring information is accurate, relevant and aligned with approved risk appetite, regulatory requirements and business priorities.
  • Manage risk-data governance and quality controls across reporting and analytical processes, including data lineage, reconciliation, metadata, stewardship and issue remediation, to maintain complete, accurate and reliable information for portfolio monitoring, regulatory submissions, management reporting and credit-bureau requirements.
  • Manage the governance and performance monitoring of credit-risk models, scorecards and analytical decision-support tools throughout their lifecycle, coordinating calibration, validation, implementation, review and reporting activities to maintain model effectiveness and compliance with approved Model Risk Management standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage regulatory and credit-bureau reporting requirements, including data-quality monitoring, reconciliations, exception management, dispute resolution and reporting enhancements, to support complete and accurate submissions and the implementation of applicable regulatory changes, audit actions and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the delivery and implementation of approved risk-technology, automation and digital initiatives in collaboration with business, operations and technology stakeholders, ensuring requirements, controls, testing, implementation readiness and post-deployment outcomes support improved risk decision-making, operational processes and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in credit-risk analytics, risk-data governance, model monitoring, regulatory reporting or risk-technology delivery within Banking or Financial Services, including experience in coordinating cross-functional initiatives and supervising employees.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Python, Structured Query Language, cloud analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, or business-intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
  • Credit-risk analytics and portfolio monitoring
  • Credit-risk models, scorecards and model performance monitoring
  • Risk-data governance, data quality, lineage and reconciliation
  • Regulatory reporting and credit-bureau requirements
  • Stress testing, forecasting and management information
  • Banking products, credit processes and risk appetite principles
  • International Financial Reporting Standard 9 requirements
  • Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates regulatory requirements
  • Data analysis using Structured Query Language and Python
  • Business-intelligence, visualisation and workflow-automation tools
