AI in this role
The IPP team designs and builds high-performance systems leveraging machine learning and cross-functional collaboration to identify, prevent, and remediate intellectual property abuse on behalf of rights owners worldwide. As the single-threaded owner for end-to-end brand protection solutions, IPP ingests and prioritizes critical brand pain points, conducts comprehensive root cause analysis, develops sustainable mechanisms, and drives continuous improvement across Amazon's brand protection ecosystem.
We are seeking a strategic, experienced Manager, Program Management to lead a team of program managers responsible for the strategy, execution, and cross-organizational integration of Brand Protection programs. This is a hybrid people-leadership and program-delivery role and you will own the performance, growth, and delivery output of your team while individually driving high-impact programs that turn reactive enforcement into proactive, scalable prevention, directly reducing brand abuse for rights owners globally.
This role operates in ambiguous, cross-functional environments where problem definition and strategy are not always predetermined. You will shape the direction of your team's work, define what success looks like, and build the organizational capability to deliver with senior leadership visibility.
This is a global role requiring effective communication and understanding of the diverse needs of international brands, operational teams, and stakeholders across countries.
Key job responsibilities
1. Lead and develop a team of program managers, setting clear expectations, providing direct and constructive feedback, and coaching each team member to operate at the top of their level.
2. Build a high-performing team culture centered on ownership, bias for action, and customer obsession fostering an environment where PgMs can tackle ambiguous, high-stakes problems independently.
3. Establish team-level mechanisms (e.g., weekly business reviews, program health checks, retrospectives) that drive operational rigor and continuous improvement.
4. Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to address complex, high-ambiguity brand protection challenges, owning the most critical and cross-cutting programs.
5. Analyze defect trends, abuse patterns, policy gaps, and process inefficiencies to design scalable mechanisms that support evolving business needs and strengthen Amazon's enforcement posture.
6. Establish key mechanisms, dashboards, and self-service tooling that eliminate manual dependencies and enhance Amazon's brand protection capabilities at scale.
7. Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, Science, and Policy teams across multiple geographies, operating as a thought leader in the IP protection space.
8. Influence roadmap prioritization across multiple organizations making trade-off recommendations, surfacing the right inputs for leadership decisions, and ensuring your team's programs are integrated into the broader Brand Protection strategy.
9. Author and present program updates to senior leadership, translating complex cross-org dependencies into crisp narratives and actionable decision points.
10. Build and maintain deep team-level expertise in brand abuse and enforcement strategy, ensuring the team can conduct rigorous deep dives to derive insights about emerging abuse vectors across Amazon's worldwide stores.
